Czech F-35A for USSR?

I can honestly see both sides of the C&P issue. On one hand it is discouraging when starting a new tree to see vehicles I already played, but on the other I also see myself wanting some C&P vehicles for certain nations because they used them historically.

So personally I think the best choice is to just folder them, make them optional for progression. That way they aren’t in the way for anyone, instead you can progress though unique vehicles and variants, but they can be there if wanted.

The only point I don’t get is uniqueness aspect, mainly because it doesn’t end at just exported vehicles. Instead the success of these exports, while “losing” that unique vehicle, usually also allows exporting nations the funds for more unique developments.
That said this also means we would need to add those developments. For example recently I saw complaints that France has more F-16s than the US, but only because the US is missing many service and prototype variants that they could have themselves.

Personally, I would want as many vehicles that aren’t 1 to 1 copies as possible.

Subtrees at the very least provided vehicles where the main tree was lacking (Thailand and Finland especially). Even with the case of the 2 largest split nations they at least plug some gaps in br or capabilities (F-111C, Skink, F-18 and ADATS for example)

Looking at the suggestions page to two main recipients of Czechoslovakian vehicles have plenty of options left, with USSR and Russian suggestion being the third largest in game nation in ground suggestions only losing out to UK and Germany (the latter is leading by over 100 suggestions, plus all the Swiss ground vehicles since it’s an official sub.) not to mention with what we already have both nations are 1st and 2nd in terms of ground vehicles.

Czechoslovakia also has a decent air roster that still wouldn’t be anything that Germany or USSR would desperately need. The few helicopters and coastal units also wouldn’t be needed.

As far as i agree that its not worst choise, i still have an issue with it as i will be forced to play against it in my games. War Thunder had a great “nation-based” matchmaking for as far as i remember myself plaing it, and it was an absolute banger to play Axis VS Allies, Warsaw Block VS NATO. It was super interesting and unique approach. And now?..
now its just the same as WoT: every tank against every tank. But the tanks now have different tech tree being still the same.

While i get the Thai - at least planes of Thai - the finland sounds as a joke. It created two BR lineups with a single machine, and added several more leopards where they werent needed.

I personally believe that having 10 copies of LTVZ 38 which differ only with age of ammunition and BR is insanely bad. Or when its the difference in engine/transmission/sights/ect that doesnt bring much into the model of the machine ingame or its characteristics.

As much as i agree with that. thats the entire reason to just not add them. If there are no place for them - why should we bother adding such then?

Because Czechoslovakia can work outside of subs. Tadmats ground, air and Heli trees show that Czechoslovakia can work compared with what we already have and with Israel being ingame, Bluewater isn’t a major factor at all. If you want a stronger tree, Czechoslovakia+Poland works fine. Not to mention this way there’s more room for USSR/German vehicles instead of a constant competition ( like the South African light vehicles do with the UK made ones) of what fits in the tree.

It still provided Sweden with a fair few extra options where if you look at Sweden ground and air suggestions, there’s not a lot left, Finnish vehicles helped add more vehicles to a very small tree and also allows Sweden to play at a few extra low air BRS.

Just dissolve all tech tree into one massive tree so that this tree would have F-22, SU-57, J-20, J-35, F-35, F-16, F-15, EFT, Rafale, SU-30SM2, SU-35, AV-8, F-14, SU-27, MIG-29, M1 Abrams, Leo, T-80, T-90, Merkava, Leclerc, Ariete, Challenger etc.

As a separate - doubt much. 30s-40s? Sure thing. Before the war, and during its early years it has many unique machines, but part of them we already have ingame. Later on? they hardly have anything that cant be added to US or USSR, and in amounts to be an entire tree.Especially ranks 7 and 8. Rank 6 is also much debatable.

SA tree must be one and only real proper subtree. It really did add some things UK needed, and they were 100% not clones/

On my opinio, they did the opposite. They made so proper Sweden vehicles are no-use, as using Pz IV + T-34-41 is a safe and effective route. Tho i believe the 34-85 did get STRV74 a lineup, i believe there were better options that such copypaste. And the top ranks are just there.

Funny joke that will never happen tho…

Japan and Germany both have noticeable large amount of US (and in the case of Germany USSR) origin vehicles in thier air trees + some sprinkled in quite a few ranks in ground but they still work fine.

I can agree it was the best in terms of unique additions 100%, still plenty missing in ground with a few extra in air, naval and Heli, and as while I’m not well read on brs, I don’t think there’d be UK made substitute for the Gripen.

The US? What? Barring helicopters the most you could get is a B-24 and the F-35 which as far as I’m aware, both would just be a carbon copy. USSR is more understandable but again, there still a nice batch of things the USSR can get from it’s own vehicles

Just like this topic.

Czech f35 is totally not happening, but I can see a slight chance that Algerian su57e gets added to france

So strong that we are struggling to decide which vehicles we should keep

Ukraine has some interesting modern stuff

Yugoslavia has some cool unique cold war plens

Ukraine would have most of nato equipment, I think it would be big enough to be its own tree

We don’t need them though that is the thing, when I mean we are struggling to fit in vehicles we are actually struggling to fit in vehicles with only Poland and Czechoslovakia

It is, would be extremely copy and paste though and the air tree is just straight up the worst

It has literally nothing till like rank 5 or 6 for air, that’s the major problem

How would air tree be bad?
