Talking with actual historians for a very niche tank.

+1, great read!

What a story, i have feeling it would be perfect premium with full special name, since it was one tank (+ identification number) possibly in pack with M113, seriously now we have 4 M113 even if you ignore others versions. Why we still don’t have M113 with just M2HB - M113A1 with modifications to be upgraded to A2 standard and next modifications to upgrade it to A3 standard, if given nation had A4 then it could be. Another option would be to make it event vehicle or BP “patton the trojan” fits well. If it will be standard tech tree vehicle, which i doubt as prehistoric magach would be on magach line before magach 1.

Issue comes with its name;

It was used by the 21 EAN, so it can be that (M47 “21 EAN”)
Its serial number was removed after being repainted, but it still had the original Turkish Camouflage + Serial in the Battle of Skylloura (M47 “092273”)
Its nicknamed “The Trojan Tank” by others because of its Turkish Camouflage in the Battle aswell (M47 “Trojan”)

So it’s a nice addition, ideally the Cypriot subtree (to me) shouldn’t go to Israel, because of a lack of history and current climate. It would’ve been nice in a Greco-Iberian Tree or a Cyprus+Turkey+Greece tree, but it feels a bit foreign now ;-;

+1, amazing suggestion

also 15 of August is a national holiday in Cyprus it commemorates the peaceful passing of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) to heaven, and that may explain how the destroyed 2 enemy tanks with smoke shells

The Cypriot T-34-85s also scored a few kills against Turkish armour. In particular they destroyed several M113s and maybe, just maybe disabled an M47, whilst not loosing a single T-34-85 to enemy tank fire.

Greece with turkey wouldn’t make sense, they always were too much hostile to each other and had literal conflict and I won’t talk about drastic stuff that we can’t speak about here, because of community guidelines.

But if it would soft tensions between them in reality, maybe then.
I myself was wondering if placing nations in the same TT that hate each other would have good impact in reality over time, this far gajing did it only with Taiwan and china.

Great something new, i saw in my mind meme “the same, but different, but the same”

Because magaches officially are M48 and M60 it makes sense to me to call M47 also magach or prehistoric magach. The more the better. It will feel a bit like Weizman’s spitfire as it was just a single vehicle but with unique history of their owners. As a premium M47 “Trojan” it would be just like T-34-85 partisan.

It should get both camouflages instantly or require for Turkish camouflage additional payment.

i dont think a turkish skin on a cyprus tank would be a very good move.

considering the history between the island and turkey

Good point, gajing should consider this

lol imagine when Greece come to make turkish skins for the greek Leopard 1a5, 2A4, M48, M60, F-16 and so on

i imagine it would be about as bad as if the pucara got added to britain, or anything falklands based but instead of one country seething its both.

except the Turkish camouflage would be historical, as that’s what it used in the battle of the time.

I mean, make them both a subtree of a Cyprus tree. They both have good relations with Cyprus (TR + North, GR + Cyprus), it’d represent the current state of Cyprus quite well (similar to RoC + PRC). They compliment eachother quite well in terms of vehicles, and its not like Cyprus → Israel is a good decision either when you consider drastic stuff. Cyprus has no history with Israel, only a few years of allyship. Its way too weak of a link, especially when there’s more working against Israel and Cyprus than working with.

Okay, do you know if most people in Cyprus consider themselves Greek? In case of north Cyprus most people are of Cypriot muslims or rather immigrants like in case of UK, where few percent will be 20 percent in matter of one generation. If this question isn’t proper i can remove it. I just want to know if i can just say Greece without mentioning Cyprus, but still including Cyprus.

there is one country in Cyprus for now. The north part its recognized by what 2 countries? And the Cyprus ont have good relations with Turkey.Also does the North part have an army? isnt everything under the Turkish military ?

yea last years they grow closer relations between them, but a Greco-Iberian TT would better with Singapore going as a subtree in Israel

50 years ago yes, not so much now

yea a lot of them have left both Christians and Muslims, and in the north part a lot of mainland turks have go there, and in the south part a lot of Russians and lately some Israelis

They do, but the mechanized infantry and air force are Turkish.
