Honestly though the one in game is meh. Less pen then most MBT’s it fights while being about the same speed, its kinda eh for a LT tbh
The difference between the one in-game versus this one is this one lacks LWS and the smoke grenade setup. Also the optics are different but beyond that it’s the same. The one in-game is better.

Yeah, if they added this it would either be folded with the one existing or give it a weaker round and put it at 11.3. The one with the APS, model 2007, would likely be 12.0.

Yeah, that would work. The CV90120-T in-game is a good tank but its a glass cannon. Probably better a little lower.
@APFDS_25 The vehicle is pretty much the same specification wise to the one in-game but that’s not to say it shouldn’t be added. The CV90120-T is a fun tank and most of its variants/prototypes feature enough of a difference to be added in some way.
Eh. Again my gripe is its a way worse Type 90 or TKX(p). Sure slightly better pen like 480mm vs 600mm but 4 second reload, better “armor” (japanese tanks with armor lol) and honestly on par mobility. Besides the suspension ability allows me to sit in spots the enemy isn’t ready for. The CV90120 is a meh tank and has been ever since the Japanese top tier existed. As a LT it could be decent if it was actually faster than most other MBT’s at its own BR.
Its a niche vehicle that isnt worth playing when its only lineup it realistically can play is 12.0, maybe if it had 11.0 it might actually be worth considering but at the same BR you have the Finnish 2A6 with more pen and armor. CV90120 MK.IV may actually warrant being 11.7 or maybe Adaptive if it can cloak itself.
I agree, it’s an alright vehicle. I do like to use it though, it just depends on your own gameplay style. It’s a relatively quick glass cannon with no armor and like you said, solid reload but that’s it really it. It’s best used if you just want to have some uniqueness in your lineup instead of all Leopard 2’s. This variant here would be a good filler but beyond that doesn’t offer to much for the Sweden lineup (not saying it should come, it is one of the first variants).
Like you said, the two dynamic versions that would offer different gameplay are:
- CV90120-T mod. 2007 with its AMAP-ADS hard-kill system/RCWS.
- CV90120-T ADAPTIV ‘Ghost’ with its thermal stealth capabilities.
The CV90120-T Mk. IV is the same pretty much as the current one in-game, right? I was reading through it but it just states all the stuff that can be done to it like the model 2007 has APS and the ADAPTIV variant.

Again, id say it would be unique if it didn’t just do a worse job than the 2A6, literally any other model of the later 120’s would actually make sense. The CV90120 is too high of a BR to warrant using iver literally any other options. The 2007 with APS can shoot down APFSDS slowing them down so they do less damage and with how many missiles and such are being sent flying in top tier this thing would need assistance. Again the CV90120 sits a a BR where it has no lineup and realistically doesn’t offer anything better to a players, bwing made of glass with and essentially forced to play 12.0 with no armor and most tanks have armor 5 sec reload and better pen and on par mobility makes the 120 a niche vehicle. Its okay but realistically it suffers from compression and given gaijins current implementation of the MK.IV i dont trust them to get a new CV90120 correct
Also no spall liners lol, again why would anyone use it unless they like the vehicle and even then its a not a casual player friendly vehicle because it has more disadvantages over advantages at its BR

- CV90120-T mod. 1998 - BR 11.0
- Weaker round, DM23.
- CV90120-T Mk. IV - BR 11.3
- CV90120-T ADAPTIV Ghost - BR 11.3
- Adaptive Thermal, wouldn’t provide too much of a difference, unique.
- CV90120-T mod. 2007 - BR 11.3-11.7

Eh, again if they are worse (11.3 versions specifically) than the Type 90’s than they are pointless. Again no lineup means majority wont use them. They need to be 11.0 since again i cant see them being better or on par with my TKX(p) that thing is just amazing tbh

It is probably not a CV90120 mk4. Mk4 anounced in 2023 IIRC.
