R-77 is just as plausible as the other weapons it already has.
Is there Any plans for Germany naval to get the H-39 class or any battleship for 8.7
Since I’ve seen this asked, is this feature tied only to weapon types (for example all guided bombs, all air to ground missiles, all ARH missiles, etc.) that would be at the higher custom BRs or does it also allow for changes within these categories like for example having a specific model of missile be at a higher preset only (for example F-4EJ Kai with current loadouts at current BR, but a preset 0.3 higher with AAM-3).
I’m not asking for specific confirmation of weapons, but I do hope this can help a lot of vehicles that didn’t receive certain armament for the sake of more optimal BRs. With the new system I think it’s a great opportunity to make the optimal BR be default, and then offer higher BR options for weapons that wouldn’t fit there.
same case as F-20 and “promotional AMRAAM” ?
and software update it needed to use it (unless gaijin bend the rules like F-14A IRIAF with R-27)
Looking at the Bison example they gave, I think that’s exactly one of the applications, yes.
Not really, they can still have proper BRs. Also I was mostly thinking of buffing existing CAS via magic 2 to make them work in higher BR lineups, not nerfing them to put them at lower BRs
Unfortunately, others will be seeking the opposite. I hope careful consideration is put into not accidentally creating untouchable aircraft.
No matter what Gaijin is the one fixing the BRs for a given configuration. There won’t be unintentional exploits because they will have to manually set a BR for the base configuration with no missiles. If a Super Etendard ends up at 9.0 with no missiles that’s not vicious players exploiting a breach, that’s Gaijin deliberately undertiering CAS, so I’m not sure to understand what you’re talking about.
If anything the planes will keep their current BR normally and only move up when Magic 2 is enabled, not the other way around
Finally useful LGBs?
Yeah that’s how I saw it too, but someone else interpreted it as “+X BR added by weapon type”, so in that case RVV-AE can be locked because it’s ARH, but you couldn’t separate R-77 and R-77-1 (just as example).
I only want to confirm it’s based on modifications of each specific vehicle, not by broader weapon types.
My concern is an aircraft being lowered enough with it’s CAS configuration, to be too fast to catch. It could turn into an issue, or it could not.
I’m just saying that these possibilities need to be considered when balancing the lower BR options. Because there’s an entire community who will look for these exploits.
This is quite possibly one of the best additions in years, but before yall get too excited, just remember this is still Gajin. They will find a way to screw it up.
How will this affect queuing for the Bullet Hell sub-mode? Will it always treat aircraft as their lowest BR loadout (since it strips them of all their secondary weapons anyways), or will you have to manually set yourself to a lower BR and then hope you get into a Bullet Hell match instead of “classic” air RB?
Well yeah but there’s nothing new in that no? There’s mach 2 planes at 9.3 in ARB.
It’s a risk but not a new one.
Also this mechanic will have to be implemented step by step, starting at high ranks, and many planes will be left out when Gaijin doesn’t consider it necessary. So if anything, some vehicles will be left out without this mechanic
Daaaamn. This is amazing. Good work Gaijin :)
I hope they can create a separate BR range for bullet hell on all aircraft. There is no need to use BRs that take into account weapons you can’t bring in general.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THANK YOU GAIJIN THE SNAIL SMILES UPON US HAZAA!!!
ignore this
Could the Phantom IIs be able to get 120s so theres a 120 carrier phantom in the US tree instead of just the greek tree?
The Rafale and the very manuverable afterburing jets, and ofc the ariete would dominate
I hope some consideration is put into locking Expert/Ace Qualifications to the vehicle, instead of the crew slot. These dynamic BR’s mean we’ll have a lot more need to be able to move vehicles to different slots without penalty.
Even if we had to pay to put the vehicle in another crew slot. Being allowed to keep the qualification would be a huge QoL improvement.
