Custom Battle Rating for Aircraft: More Freedom For Your Vehicles!

Hi smin. Do you know if this feature could be linked to lineups? For example, if I have a 12.7 lineup with the F-16 ADF in it to use with only sparrows, and a 13.7 lineup to use it with AMRAAMs, would it automatically select the proper BR when I switch between the lineups? Or would I have to go into the modifications tab to change it every time I want to change lineups?

It would be modifications tab, bc you cant just suddenly change BRs mid match

So what’s a fox without teeth and claws going to do in a chicken den?

Great analogy lol

I don’t mean changing it mid match. I mean will it automatically select the proper BR when I switch between lineups in the hangar, or do I have to go to the modifications tab to manually change the BR so I don’t uptier the rest of my lineup.

In reality, this is a highly controversial decision, and I, for one, am not a fan—here’s why. For years, the game’s progression was built on the premise that new vehicles were introduced—in part—to reflect the addition of new weaponry; by reaching a new rating, you unlocked new capabilities, often while using the same underlying platform. This new system undermines that entire approach. Many vehicles will effectively lose their value once this mechanic is implemented. Why keep two separate aircraft if you can simply “downgrade” a more advanced variant to an earlier one just by removing a few modules? For instance, why have so many F-16s in the American tech tree? Or so many MiG-29s in the Soviet tree? You could essentially discard half the vehicles in the game.

Yeah it would.

Yeah, I’d like to see that approach stick around. If early and late variants are physically almost identical, I wouldn’t mind them being combined into a single aircraft. However, Gaijin shouldn’t skip major variants like the Apaches I mentioned just because they can be made functionally identical under the new system.

Tried it first with tiger, but couldn’t figure out with what animals to fittingly pair with…

The fox is still gonna be able to snap the chickens’ necks, crush the chicks and steal the eggs.

To ease the stock grind and because I find them satisfying to use.

i hope the Q-5s get some love for it, damn a 10.0 ARB without any missiles

Yes, if they don’t peck and scratch back.

Don’t underestimate prey! = )

could u clarify us with one example?

This entirely hinges on whether or not gaijin can balance on a case by case basis, but I worry that will happen.

Say, what if for every ground match, there is one AI SPAA at each spawn, maxing out at the KDA gun spaas without missiles or the best ZSU without missiles, can only use the radar to find targets, and fires in the same fashion as the BTR AAs in the artillery placements in ARB. Much tinier spray of bullets, and it cant see you through terrain. It can only shoot you with a radar lock and thats it.

And less accurate than SIM AA and NE AA

Again these concerns are massively overblown because you’re disregarding the historical baggage with aircraft variants.

Take the f-16ADF and F-16C for example, claiming the ADF wouldn’t get added in a vacuum because the C can carry 6 amraams with a PD radar… is just stupid.

You can make a case for why we don’t see more niche variants like the F-16C blk 30, but we’ll continue to see major variants of each aircraft regardless of their armament continuity.

is A10 without aim9L gona be fun to play now? gona be massive

only use maverics as missiles lol

There aren’t any yet, but I bet there will be one aircraft that’s super undertiered when this is first released.
