The Cuban tree should be a thing. With Venezuela and other “local reds” as sub-trees.

The Russians have enough options as it is, they do not need to become a dumping ground for creations of their former allies and other communist countries.

Cuba should go with the Soviet teach tree as most if of our vehciles are modifications of Rusian vehicles just like the Mig-17AS.

I have a Cuban ground forces tree and air force suggestion pending.
However, they are directly supported by Angola (Could add Ethiopia), while Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Peru are placed in the premium/event sections. Otherwise the gaps are too large, the best Cuban tank is a T-62M. If no other nation is added to support them, they would essentially have only a top-tier AA and no accompanying ground vehicles.
They have plenty of unique and interesting vehicles, but they are bunched up in Ranks 3 to 5, so it might not really work as a subtree on its own.
I’ll leave it to the community to debate how it should ultimately be structured.

Dare I say this, but is it necessarily a bad thing for a nation to lack top tier lineups? If you were to remove the high tier AA in question then the Cuban tree would simply round off at whatever BR the T-62M is placed at, which wouldn’t screw anyone over provided it has a proper lineup to play with.
I have no answer to this question. I know that the Israeli tree cuts off lower ranks, but I have yet to see a tree that cuts off the top tier. Besides, Cuba has MiG-29s, you can’t really pair a MiG-29 with a T-62M in ground RB.
The Cuban tree simply does not have enough vehicles to fill the premium section, as its entire fleet fits into the main tech tree. With the nations I’ve chosen, the premium section is filled nicely, providing three top-tier tanks (four if I add Ethiopia). Combined with Cuba’s top-tier AA, this would make a solid top tier lineup.
However, Cuba as a standalone tech tree, even with Angola and Ethiopia, would still be relatively empty in the premium section.

Maybe it could just be vehicles belonging to different divisions/squadrons/noticeable pilots like how several low tier premiums are (that way less unique stuff gets paywalled.
I’m genuinely against adding a premium or event vehicle to any tree solely because of a different paint job, if that’s what you mean? Skins exist for that purpose.
That’s why, in my tree, I saw no point in adding separate Angolan copy-paste vehicles. For example, if Cuba operated a vehicle that was also in Angolan service, I didn’t list it under the Angolan banner, since you could simply give the Cuban version an Angolan camouflage skin.

Yeah. I can understand why. I just personally loathe seeing a unique vehicle or variant locked behind events. Paywalls less so but it’s still annoying.
Is there a link to where I can see the tree?
Something I heard from a 1Tcol is that Empresa Emilio Barcenas is making a new prototype with Chinese help, but has any information If I do not see it I don t trust it.
