I have to say, I’m very disappointed with the vehicles announced so far.

Why are they all short range? They might be effective against the stuff which comes close but they’re going to be useless against the actual problem.

What is the actual problem with giving decent range systems instead of ones which are outranged by their opponents at their introduction? Why must the balance always be tilted towards aircraft?

next devblog would be a completely new vehicle that they havent tease us before, so im really looking forward to it. So far all the devblog are vehicles were leaked a little while ago so the rest a completely new.

i just wonder why the range of the missle is not more specifyed in this devblog. i do not understand why this decision was made. i think its either to prevent discussions if this vehicle outranges the EldE and makes it basicly a joke, or they are not sure what they want to give us, in both i see no positive advantage

Short range is around 20km. Plenty enough for war thunder rb map

I’m PRAYING this thing gets the AHEAD as it would make intercepting munitions a piece of cake, I’m literally so excited for this vehicle though I cannot wait.

I think no. Maybe the copy paste type81 or little better. But the ir rockets complete jokes in toptier. Seeker cant see the enemy planes just too close range and only see the helis under ~4km and the “manpads” shitty programmed rockets in wt. This spaa 90% gone useless and doa if they put 11.0+

yea they should specify the missile range. I read somewhere that the missile range is between 9km - 15km. Don’t take my word for it though.

we do not need them:

  1. we allready have outranging fire and forget munition
  2. long time missles were not lockable by ir missles, if that works in a good way now, i can not stell
  3. the now announced systems are no long range systems and still can be outranged
  4. pansir exists since a long time, and is still the main reason to add them, since other systems can be easy outranges
  5. ARM need quite a consistend radar beam to guide effective to target, meaning the new spaa, could not be that effected, since they do not need to hold a radar lock

The article mentions FB-10A numerous times but the also mentions short range (which presumably is in context to the game rather than real life) and the lesser ranged FB-10 is modeled.

So what exactly are we getting?
The 17km FB-10A or the 10km FB-10?
