CS/SA5: Ground Shield!

I will make it short, in order not to derail this thread.
There is no tracer. The system tracks and gathers the missile during its motor burn phase onto the main beam, using the IR signature generated by the motor. After that it does not track it, the missile finds itself inside the coded beam.

whats the range on this or is Pantsir still king?

Up to 17km

Both fall under the short range.

so pantsir is still king…

this thing trade 3-4km for better anti tank capability
thats the case if they give it apds/apfsds belt
or ahead

15-17km is very different from 10km
atleast ingame anyways

Short range missiles end ~20km.
Anything under falls within Short Range

hmm
well i want a second opinion

so it loses a few km for mobility?

or is that its effective range

im not sure
i only see 15-16-17km on a few different sources so im guessing max?
also yes

Well in WT terms short range is like 3-4km, but Gaijin definitely used IRL naming scheme.

ADATS is just old. Just imagine that on a top SPAA you have to visually, with your eyes, look for a target through the sight. Finding a target in the clouds or in the fog is unrealistic.

i mean it would be better if they fix stuff that i listed
im kinda pissed that the elevation is only 59 deg for the missiles
and that it should be 85 irl

If only CAS didn’t outrange those 20km by a large margin

There is no point in remaking ADATS, it is too old for the game. I will be ashamed to stand on this Reagan-era invention next to the Pantsir and CS/SA5 that will enter service in 2026. Gailzhin clearly does not like the US nation.

“Top-end AA” that still gets outranged by most CAS
IRIS-T SLS and the and the FB-10A sure are dangerous when you don’t get into their range.

yeah but they should fix it regardless
