Apologies if its already been asked, but are there plans to move the Shenyang F-5 Premium (China, Rank VI) to the new Korea TT? Will it be another Israel situation where it stays in the Chinese tree but is removed from sale, with it being copied over to Korea, will it just simply be transferred between trees, or will nothing happen?
Alongside that, since I wasnt actively playing when Israel was added, will owners of the Shenyang F-5 in China also receive the Shenyang F-5 in Korea if its transferred? I understand the reasons it wouldnt, but I also have reasons why it should
I know its one player versus Gaijin in the ruling, but I do recommend potentially copying it between the trees, removing it from China, and giving players who already have it the Korean TT version alongside the original. That would be preferable on account of the people who already own it, but I understand that its also bad for business, but:
The Shenyang F-5 has been ingame since 2019, and isnt a very modern or exponentially good plane in that regard, and it is also the only current Korean vehicle ingame (North Korea), and adding it to Korea could give long term players the ability to quickly get into the new tree, alongside giving newer players a good mid-range premium, and it is overall less work on the devteam for them to just copy and paste it over to Korea
China does not need nor deserve the M1A2T. The Chinese player base threw a fit over the VT4 being exported and therefore going to Japan; they should not be rewarded for their immature behavior. On top of that fact, top tier MBT’s should not be in separate tech trees; it gets rid of the incentive to grind a new tree if the top is all homogenous. E.g., the Leopard 2A7 HU has already overstepped this boundary and is a better version than the German tech tree variant (the exception being Sweden, since their modern MBT’s are Leopard 2 imports). There’s also three nations with a T-80, why bother playing Russia when you could just play Britain or Sweden? Why not give the US a Tiger 2 as well? The answer is to prevent every nation from becoming too homogenous–there’s already too many copy/paste vehicles in the game and that can be felt in every tech tree. Lastly, the Abrams series of tanks is one of the few reasons to play/grind the US tech tree; the air tree has lost its identity with most of its content being found elsewhere, and the majority of the ground tree having the same fate. Please don’t make every nation’s top tier the same, Gaijin.
they have some treaties with eachother because of fear from Turkey. Greece and Cyprus perform joint military events together. Cyprus no aircraft and only helicopters and anti air units. also Israel will have no top tier since they never upgraded the F-15cs radar. that’s when greece steps in for top tier.
Cyprus until recently had the Mi-35 helis and got same new light helis and the still have TOR M1 and they just got new aa units from Israel. and yes Greece is the best to cover where Israel lucks from the F-4 PI 2000 to all the F16 variants (from block30 to viper)
i understand you logic and agree that Chinese players don’t deserve to get Abrams in their TT. But its not gaijin faults that Germany have sold Leopards 2 in almost 20 country’s the same with Russia and their T80/72, all country’s that have bought and built Leopards 2 or T80/72 deserve to have their tanks in their TT even if they are “copy paste” like Sweden, Hungry, Japan, Netherlands etc. War Thunder is a war simulator and you think that Greek Leopards 2A4 wont fight Turkish Leopards 2A4 ?? so why complain if you fight them in war thunder? Korea will take their T80U why? because they have them in their arsenal. and it doesn’t make sense that your logic about planning the TT you saying because their is 1 Russian tank in Britain and 3-5 in Sweden you wont play Russia, that’s your choice i have grinded USSR for all the tanks for all variants of T34 to the IS-2 and T62 all together but i never though to go grind China because they have them too. As for captured tanks i am against of adding them in TT (not all i am talking when the Russian having intact challengers, M1 and Leos or USA having MI-24 T90A MIGs )
the chinese PLAYERS made an ask for basic respect, gaijin would’ve released it in the week of the chinese sino-japanese war celebrations which is extremely disrespectful.
THATS why they complained, not just cause it was being put in the japanese tree, but rather the timing of which it was being put in
Is gonna be the same situation as the Phong Kong you keep it if you have but otherwise you will have to grind for it in the new tech tree, besides the F-5 isn’t a good aircraft really but hopefully with the addition of it to the Korean air tree it will see its BR reduced to 9.0 or something
I would not trust AI for this kind of research on possible versions since it takes information from all sources, and let me remind you of the glue pizza
Indeed, it pretty much scrapes the internet for information on topics - and these sources can vary from accurate/good to downright bad and outdated. At least Wikipedia highlights sources for you to chase up.
My issue remains that they bitched about the VT4 and got it cancelled for Japan despite Thailand using it, so why should their tree get an export tank, only fair since they don’t want their export going to other nations. And the issue with trophy tanks like the US Tiger 2 is different from this issue. The original pages of history got canned because of something related to China also. This is a losing fight but I don’t want to see the M1A2T ingame until they stop this double standard bs
