I am no expert in the matter but new Gamemodes would acutally give War Thunder a huge playability boost.
Having 2000+ vehicles is nice and all but being confined to the same few game modes for 10+ years is just weird.
Why add so many vehicles without any permanent new game modes?

Which nation will receive a patrol/torpedo boat that’s rank 1 or 2 next update? I believe Italy is line for it’s next low tier boat.

You seem to miss the point entirely.
If the vehicle is of the same model (regardless of those super cool exhaust modifications or whatever) and gameplay is the same, the vehicle is copypaste, end of story. It brings nothing new to the game, besides a bunch more RP that you are forced to get in order to progress.
If the tank itself is an entirely separate design, even if it’s played similarly to other tanks, it is a whole different story since it actually adds something new to the game. It still increases variety and makes the game more interesting.
Then why add M44 and M55 in the first place if Hummel is suposed to come anyway? What is the purpose of Germany having 3 SPH vehicles on pretty much same BR with 2 of them not being even domestic constructions?
Why dilute the game with copypaste slop if there is absolutely 0 need to do that from any PoV? Germany didn’t have any gaps at 4.0. Germany has domestic vehicles still to add. Germany doesn’t lose anything from M44 and M55 not being present in the tree. If this is all the case then why were they added?

thats why I am talking about permanent game modes.
But the April fools stuff is even more confusing.
Gaijin is working so hard on fun game Events only to give them to us for like one time and then never again.
I miss almost every one of those Events.
