Community Update No.6: Updating You On Some Things You Can Expect in the Near Future!

Of course, Israel and Italy will more than likely be left out despite the fact that they’re the nations that need a new high tier SPAA the most.

When will we see fixes to the Social Aspect of the Game? Never? New Squads cant really survive thanks to the Squad vehicle point system and Squads in general, other then squad vehicles, make no sense for most players. Making finding other people to play increasingly hard. Whats the fun of a Multiplayer if you barely can find someone to play with? Where are the Players? I am acitve in so many groups… and yet its still though to find someone to play with, especially if i wouldnt not have all BRs and Nations already… if i would only play for like half a year i would problably never get some people to play with as the BR or Nation wouldnt fit…

for me thats by a mile the biggest issue… wasnt there smt on the Roadmap about it? Where did that go?

"Inside the company, they’re gradually letting go of Russian-speaking staff, trying to erase the image of being a “Moscow studio.” People with accents or certain last names are reportedly not allowed to handle English-language communication. New job listings show it clearly — they want people who entertain, not communicate.

"

2025 is the first year without a growth in player count, they now switch to milk as much as possible before its dead. Atleast thats my feeling, as they never really did anythink else, now its just shown that they cant get more people to play… so they milk differently now. Trying to entertain the whales as much as possible, the whales they already have…

and no matter what… if wt dies or not… players will have a benefit from it after a few years, cause either they fuck it up and get a dead game, making place for new Dev studios to dev in this genre, or they are able to turn that ship around and finally start making the real important changes to the game… not some fuel dumping system that no one has ask for… fix the game first before introducing new stuff was sadly never smt they ever cared of… new stuff brings much more money instandly… fixing game only gives money in the long term as playercount grow or players play a game for longer and buy eventually more prem time, and they are always looking for instand money…

It depends on the person, but most people call it copy and paste. Not everything depends on how you feel

I agree they really don’t do enough about this. They’ve outsourced their social convening role to Discord.

Not impossible to start new squadrons though. Class Act started a third squadron a couple years back and now it’s full up too. The difference there is it came in as part of an established squadron alliance, with an established Discord serving the whole group of 350+ players and affiliates. That’s hard to do if you don’t have that structure day one, I agree. Would be even harder to do now, but that’s just because the player base hasn’t grown in a year and a half.

Small things they could do easily to help if they wanted:

  1. Reclaim old squadron handles. Lots of good reusable squadron names out there that were created 10 years back and have a small number of members and zero play activity for months or years. I think you’d see more people starting new squadrons if a lot of the good names weren’t taken this way.

  2. Flip squadron battles so you start with the low-end tanks and work up, rather than high-end tanks and work down each season. I know the arguments for doing it this way but at the moment it imposes an entry cost on squadrons that just want to try it out for fun, some of which would give up when the BR got higher, but maybe some which wouldn’t. Right now it’s a ladder that the established SQB squadrons have pulled up behind them.

  3. Increase tournament awards for the “swiss-rounds” tournaments, which only reward the top 8 teams or so, to top 12 or top 16 to make team-based weekly tournaments more attractive to squadrons. We’re just talking a few more boosters a week here, they’ve really been cheaping-out there to divert more responses to the “eSport-ready” squadrons, which leaves most squadrons just watching Twitch. (Also, don’t make all the new major tournaments top-tier vehicles/jets only as they’ve been doing recently, keep doing some at mid-tier/props.)

  4. Adding alliance chat channels and squadron alliances before they try WWM again, but I’ve talked about that one many times here before. Also consider maybe increasing the cap on squadron membership slightly, it could go from 128 to 144 without much harm.

  5. Consider taking some of the single-map special mini-events (Jutland was a good example, or Battle of Britain or WW1 tanks maybe) and make them available as custom (non-SL/RP) matches the rest of the year, that squadrons could use for team-building and anchor their own events around. Don’t have to change anything, just make them available as a custom battle same as any other custom battle after the event’s first run. It’s hard to custom-code something more enticing for your players than random battles to do an in-squadron social event, this would help.

  6. Have some kind of collective reward for squadron activity as well as squadron vehicles as the individual reward. Something to work toward together. Could be as simple as if you make a certain squadron activity threshold over a 30 day period, everyone in that squadron plays under a 5% SL and/or RP booster for the next 30 days. SQB only really serves the ground playerbase, and there are other players out there who never touch ground, making collective goals for them too would help.

  7. Have a small RP and/or SL bonus for playing in a squad, and with your squadron. Could be 1% in squad, 3% in squad with your squadron year round, or 5 and 10% for a special “recruitment week” once or twice a year. Just enough so that people might be slightly more inclined to buddy up. Wouldn’t have to be much.

None of the above would require much new coding or programmer effort, all would constitute a social uplift that would help other people continue to provide the “social network” for the game through other means like Discord sites. Just my two cents.

If i remember right there was wot or aw or both that actuall, has/had the bonus for playing in a squad. Many other games also have that aystem in place and it works like a charm. Motivating to play together or even havign a reason to do so in the first place

As long as it not smt stupid like the daily nation bonus thats calculated the gaijin way… +10% more exp… so my prem with 600% has now 610% … lol…so at the end that 10% is just less then 2%… thats daily nation bonus system is still a bad joke…

Any kind of social benefit would be so amazing…personally i am done with cw… its so bad, especially as its combined battles and some unobtainable stuff is meta or behind a insane grond or paywall…

But just gimme a reason to play with people, currently there is nothing u get from playing with your buddies… for the squad points i dont need to play with anyone or ever need to kbow their names… so thats not helping at all.

Only way for me to find people is to be in 10+ discord servers at the same time and checking if someone is playing… and most of these guys are nice to play with but are not tje best players… often resumting in me making the game less fun for them as they get less points, cause i am oldscool veteran and basically steal them their points.

Especially if you play with 4 people, if u have 2-3 vets and 1 guy that new… he will not score much in that battle… and he has then no bloody benefit from olaying with others.

If the grind wouldnt be so bad and they wouldnt have decreased the winning a battle bonus… then it wouldnt matter so much… but these days winning or losing dosnt make that big of a difference anymore to justify it.

CAMM is pretty different than ASRAMM even if they share the same motor.

CAMM is more aerodynamics with a radome instead of an IR dome (= less drag)
CAMM has an ejectable TVC nozzle (cold launch) wich makes it turn automatically toward the ennemy without using its main motor, saving a LOT of energy.
Indeed, since the ASRAMM has a lot of thurst at the beginning, it’s not very efficient for turning quickly from a ground launcher.

That’s mainly why the ASRAAM has worse range than the CAMM

Just to piggy back off this, kills don’t really matter much now as well. It’s all based on active time in match. Of which it has to be time engaging enemies or point capturing. Moving around does not couhr towards it.

Even with premium account time and premium vehicles, the reward payout is still bad. But since Gaijin doesn’t do any sort of follow-up or engagement with players on such an important aspect of the game, the only way we will ever see another change is going to require a steam review campaign. Im not advocating for that at all but merely calling a spade a spade. When was the last time Gaijin gauged player sentiment on the reward payout?

That is not the case. The VLTP is not ejected

do NOT ever talk like that about my boi cheyenne again!

Yea…

but ultimately … what did the last Steam Review Campaingn did? Not much… they made a Roadmad… many points got delayed… most got addresses but in the most lazy and least good way possble… (looking at you! social features, nation rp bonus, crosshairs (that are stillsuperior if u use the oldschool crosshair creation method), player stat cards and so on…) detailed heli models that more or less only a few have… detailed tank models that are crazy obscurely random and sometimes missing… like the transmission in the 2s38!!! or coax inside a turred… 2A5… or just the major differences in detail… comparing the 2s6 (that has a very nice model) to basically all of the other tanks that have missing parts in total in incomplete models… look at the way the battery gets charged… exaktly most only have batteries but now part to charge them?? wtf xD… lol…

The steam campain made them start moving… but so bloody many didnt realised that they just made the ultimate minimum to the game… and yet the guys still applaud for that… so dumb…
