“These missiles require the implementation of new mechanics, a dual-pulse engine. In general, it concerns not only them, but they are more or less aware that this is a feature. Well, roughly speaking, this thing allows this due to the fact the operating time and thrust of the engines are changed, that is, you can exchange, the time it takes for the missile to reach the target for a better speed of the missile in the target area. That is, we do it differently, we don’t provide such high pulse at the start of the moment (like conventional motors), but we maintain it for a longer time. The missile ultimately takes longer to reach its target, but at the moment of approach, the missile has a higher speed and accordingly, a better, well, probability of hitting the target.”
Will the addition of the AIM-120D be only for the new aircraft coming to the US, or as an addition to existing top tier US aircraft as well? Thank you.
I might be wrong; I haven’t gotten to playing the F-15C GE, but it looks reasonably balanced. The 14.7 jets seem much better. I think an an argument can be made that it is the best 14.3, but it isn’t much better than the Gripen E or non-AESA Eurofighter. And in terms of flight performance, it gets beaten by most 14.7 and 14.3.
What’s the problem with liking the Rafale, is it a crime? Or is it because it’s French?
I don’t deny that American players suck, probably more than any other playerbase, but the AESA Typhoon is undoubtedly better than the F-15C GE in every way.
Its baffling how people talks so confidently about planes without even touching the most primitive version of it.
The Eurofighter has less CMs (still 300+), but it has better energy retention, better acceleration and better instantaneous turn.
The AESAphoon just being considerably better than the 15C GE is an even more major contributor.
But I know some British/German/Italian mains (Morvran especially) don’t want to admit that the AESAphoon is almost a plane with trainingwheels almost as much as the Rafale.
Not to even mention the much better RWR and MAW on both EFTs and much better radar on the AESAphoon.
Its brilliant dont get us wrong. Its just not pumped with fake buffs like the rafale is (other than AESA before the RAF, Luftwaffe and Italians have properly adopted them)
being able to carry 12 amraams to lob at people gives 4 more chances of BVR kills than the eurofighters 8. 50% more chances that one decides to work today before throwing out tons of chaff on the way back to the airfield to resupply.
Unfortunately it’s not something that is talked about enough. Typhoon has a lot going for it that makes it very forgiving such as the best flight model while also being just a bit behind the Rafale in instantaneous turn, tons of countermeasures, and the second best radar in the game after the Su-30SM2 in terms of situational awareness.
