Picture1-23

Nation: USA
Unit: 55th Wing, Offutt AFB
History: Variations of this morale patch have been worn by multiple squadrons. This one is based off of one worn on missions by RC-135 crews in the early 2000s.

Spoiler

The RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft, with its extensive antennae array, provides vital real-time battle management information to mission planners, commanders and warfighters. The aircraft is a high-altitude version of the C-135, which is a militarized version of the Boeing 707. It provides direct, near real-time reconnaissance information and electronic warfare support to theater commanders and combat forces.

The RC-135 typically flew alone, and had more Mig encounters than any other platform. Undeterred and unafraid, crews defiantly wore this patch, with the phrase “I ain’t afraid of no migs.”

the ghost is copy written, they would have to make a change to it

that’s not how copyright works.

it’s not the same ghost, also it probably falls under parody law (maybe I’m not a lawyer)

GB is owned by Sony, so yea they will go after it.

all they have to do is release it for free and says its fair use, boom parody and sony cant go after it, plus I don’t think sony cares there’s a lot off people selling patches of it online

they can try, but its not like one decal loosely related to their copyright will be enough. the historical context of the decal would make it particularly difficult

the historical context? you have to be joking. They dont go after the militarty for squad logos but they will go after corps

Do you think that movies have to pay royalties every time they have a Nike shoe on screen?

Nike pays the movie for product placement, that isnt even that same thing.

I am not talking about product placement (i.e. advertisment)
