2s38 needs to be very easy to kill for it to be any kind of balanced. right now a hulldown 2s38 is very tricky to disable or/and kill: the only way to kill it without large HE is to hit one of the 3 ammo in the turret and to disable it you need to hit the barrel or the tiny breach.
Wasn’t the research bonus first announced last June or so? It’s been just about a year now. Meanwhile gaijin keeps adding more top tier vehicles, so you have to research them as well before you can start getting that “promised” bonus. Let me guess, another major update, another batch of top tier vehicles that you will have to research first.
How about letting us research coastal with bluewater ships? My US bluewater line is all researched, so all the RP points just disappear (including component research for spaded vehicles). Not really fair, especially that gaijin has based their gameplay model on constant grind for the last 12 years. All the “lost” RP points should go toward something else. Good idea would be to go towards old event vehicles. The game overflows with them and players would have a new sense of accomplishment, instead of just earning SLs and nothing else. There should be some ‘glory’ at the end. This would be the way to do it at this point.
Another thing that can get maxed out is crew skills. Let a maxed out crew have ‘positive influence’ on your other crews. Something like some small percent extra crew skill earned per battle for each used crew. You gain experience faster in a battle when you are accompanied by someone more experience than a n00b (other crew slot). Also, the maxed out crew should not have their new crew points just disappear. They also should go somewhere, something like towards unique titles… and old event vehicles. Even discounts for old event vehicles would be something (preferably you can chose what branch and tier you want to do it for). C’mon gaijin, make the game more fun. People want to have something to look forward to, instead of just grinding SLs, so they can spend countless millions on a lottery and get nothing (because they already have the ‘won’ vehicle and just get 1 million SLs back for it).
I already have some crews maxed out for all 3 branches (long ago paid some GEs, so I don’t start from stock). One of my maxed out crews has more than 35,000 extra crews skills and just 0.5 points from being fully upgraded. I kept it at this, so I can still accumulate the points, instead of having them just disappear, like I have with other crews. I cannot play my lineup in the next slot, as that crew is pretty much stock for that branch. I have to use a plane to grind it more, but I now play mostly Naval, so my plane slot gets very little gameplay and crew income.
Sucks about skipping Naval event. Was looking forward to spading some top tier ships with it. I’m not really interested in another tank event. They are too grindy and too steamrolly… and too CAS-y. It takes too long to earn any event vehicle with that (the effort is not worth the prize).
CDK/WT Live for custom UI ? Pretty please!!! current one is laggy no matter what resolution/pc spec or how fresh install it is and outdated as well :(

If so, then this needs to stop just releasing maps to the wild and community can only test it for a week or two on dev server, many maps, including most recent ones in certain game modes are one sided or can camp from one spot for the entire game or spawns in the first few minutes and if i spawn at the wrong side, well, good luck winning.
I suggest the following:
Put new maps (that either the dev team created or coming from WT Live as a most liked/downloaded for Ground/Air/Naval) as Event for 3 months evaluation and collect feedback after every match and test it with AR/RB/SB in ALL BR as not all maps are suitable for all BR/Gamemode and needs to be tested for every scenario separately (to cut off certain part of the map and even/fair placement of capture points)
Currently there are 53-ish maps (if we count certain maps as separate) for ground that are 35-ish are one sided/unbalanced/instant quit/campthunder2024 (most of us would agree)
In most game mode (AB/RB/SB) and CQ/Dom/Battle not suited for high-top tier at all (fast tanks, easy camp from one side of the map due to APFSDS), more city full city based maps with minimum of 3-4km big (otherwise campfest again for lights)
Additionally please increase bannable maps to at least 20-25 when playing solo and remove like/dislike at the same time (not sure if it’s even working properly) and add option to exclude e.g Dom version of Holland but ban the rest of the game modes - this would benefit the devs/community to see which maps are the most banned ones and needs TCL, putting through a 3 month community evaluation.
banned map count will be the same in for 4/3/2 squads with first 5/6 or 7/10 banned map counted (excluding CW)
lol . … that’s a fine spreadsheet of absolutely made up baloney man . . . there is not a single vehicle listed it’s just a bunch of numbers that don’t mean or show anything. You keep talking about 2013 like it was last week . … that was over 11 years ago and the game was running Alpha before then. And exactly what I said is still true, you cannot simply say “BR spread in games is now 0.7” it doesn’t work that way. It’s like you have no idea how the matchmaker even works or sets games up. Everything you are posting went away the day the 5 tier system was implemented . . I do not understand why this seems so hard for you . . . but good luck with your spreadsheets . . . they won’t change anything either
Seems like they want to add the ability for you to lose your computer range finder? with the computer screens seen on the commander and gunner’s side, not sure but if my eyes don’t lie, there’s a spall liner behind the fuel tank? not sure what that white panel on the left is on the driver’s side. (but i suspect that could be another “radio station” if ykwim)
That new carousel model kinda looks like an autoloader system (the rammer, the ejector, the cassette hoist assembly, etc all in one), so prob any tank with an autoloader would have basically a much much bigger breach that can be shot out, ig that’s a good idea because if you can’t ammo rack or if you don’t spall mbts, now you can disable them even more easily and kill them without them being able to shoot back.
No idea what that purple model behind the breach is, perhaps the actual IRST lock system, can’t wait for people to try to 50 cal these things, game is kinda getting silly in that way but oh well

They was constantly nerfing economy, that’s why we here.
They’ve managed everything else from the roadmap, but not this. They’ve communicated other issues and the roadmap very clearly, but not this. They were the ones who joked at players for calling them out on the outrageous economy nerfs from last year, which they responded to by hiding months of reviews.

idk if people really know what they’re asking for… I mean idk if it’s a me problem but I think repair times are already very long with 2 or 3 crew members, would be fun to see people complain first about repair times in all chat when the games start, oh the irony
Some parts of the vehicles shouldnt take like 30s to fix like view ports or just one wheel on wheeled vehicles. But i wonder if any of those extra things will have any effect on the vehicles. after all it took like 3 years for radiators to have a effevt. Crew view ports still dont do anything except prolong your repair time

It literally could have just been a stacking +10% RP booster with unlimited uses that you unlock by researching the last vehicle in the line. 0 reason for it to take an entire year to develop

regarding an effect on the vehicle, i do see the front panels (driver controls and rangefinder/fire director systems) as being the most critical, i mean it already takes 30 or so seconds to fix your breech and like what 15 or 20s to fix your vertical or horizontal? I suppose it could be a small time but honestly, I’m skeptical with all additions of more and especially new damage models, and this is pretty major a change and not just changing the function of a particular dmg model
also, another side effect this might have is the post repair effects your ability to aim or your ability to determine ranges accurately, or to even drive even if they add crew healing, you can’t “unyellow” your modules that’s a known fact, yellow engines already reduce your neutral turn speed to 2 or 5 degrees a second and it’s crazy that they’re not doing a PTS for these changes before just introducing them full force
Forget about the 0.7 BR spread and stop implementing different BRs for different branches for now. Why don’t you make it easier for everybody and make BR increments every 0.2? You can then make the BR spread clean 0.8 and still have 4 different BRs in a match like before. This will also reduce power creep and you will have more space to move units around.
Also, please make task requirements BR based, not tier based. We make our lineups BR based, so why do you require tasks based on tiers, especially that different nations have different BRs in different tiers.
For example, these German ships are ALL 4.3 BR, but:
Rank I - K2 (BR 4.3)
Rank II - Z12, Z22 (BR 4.3)
Rank III - Z25 (BR 4.3)
There are more like this…

no, nothing went away with 5 tier tech trees, that was only progression throttling. We are still using the same MM as in 2013, just higher maximum level and with somewhat different coat of paint
all the 5 tier tech tree (not matchmaking) did was draw a few “XP penalty here” lines across the tech tree. But MM was always level based, lvl 1-20 back in 2013, lvl 0-35 today. You can see the level values in the files … in 2013 planes had just one lvl value (for all game modes), now they have three lvl values for AB/RB/SB. Maximum currently is 12.7BR, which translates to lvl35.
BR spread 0.7 is just a name based on what game shows to players … acutal MM change would be changing it from 4 level/BR steps vehicles being able to meet in battle to 3 level/BR steps MM. And yes, you really can say “BR spread is 0.7 now” (or better said 3 lvl/BR steps) and switch the MM to new settings immediatelly … sure, there would be some BR needed after that, but that’s always the case and tighter MM spread would allow for larger sepparation between vehicles with significantly different performance
