Probably wouldn’t work and still won’t explode
I know but sending a 75mm round that weighs <8kg through a man is hilarious IRL
not for the man

just tested this using a usermission, holy damn the SPEED,
skip gears 1, 2 and 3, you don’t need em, the 4th gear is all you need
But we’ll probably just get the same top speed of 28km/h for the official one.
How fast was your user mission Churchill?
There was a report that a regular Churchill achieved 25mph downhill with the governor removed. With a more powerful engine it might be able to reach that speed under its own power.
Armoured, downgunned Ram 2 QF 3.7in
25mph downhill would mean serious overspeed of the engine
given the top speed of the Churchill III is 17.4mph @ 2550rpm (in game RPM is wrong, but top speed correct)
the speed reached ~20-21mph at the 3000rpm of the Merlin, just wished it got a different gearbox, the ratios are way too high, with that HP it could EASILY get into the 40s/50s of mph
We have the Spitfire, the Seafire, the Spiteful, and the Seafang. Now we have the Spitchill or maybe Churchfire.
Anyway +1, wonder how hot the engine got on this IRL though
We need to start putting air engines in tanks again, imagine a like 3000 HP turboprop in a tank
may i present to you 2x M1 Abrams
Or Challenger 2 with a slightly boosted engine and a proper transmission and then 200 tonnes of more impenetrable armour. It would become a Wehraboo’s wet dream with how armoured, heavy and ergonomic it would be
How would this be placed in comparison to existing Churchills? I’m kinda curious
We don’t know the top speed, but assuming this has the full 1,230hp available for a Merlin you go from 9.1hpt to 31.5hpt. That’s an even higher hpt than the Scimitar.
I wonder what br it would be, would somewhere around 4.7 be balanced?
It’d be cool to have the Jewish Brigade tanks in War Thunder as well.

Personally it’s just going to be a more mobile NA75. So 4.3 or 4.7
I guess it would be 4.7 now we have APHE. It’s very comparable to the T14 in the armour department but with a very high hp/t and maybe a higher top speed from a higher rpm compared to the Mk III and NA75.
