I give you that the tomcat was 45k per task, so it might be dependent on the vehicle or something, but 35k is certainly the more common format.

Its because they’re trying to push up the their player numbers/hours. Probably part of annual goals, also more play time = more time players are thinking of GE vehicles/Cash vehicles.
They are also banking on the PTO/Holidays and school time off. Hence they do an event like this. They also know folks are getting cash gifts and this event, that pushes folks to play more, means they have a higher chance of getting that cash spent on their game.
It makes sense. Just isnt altruistic.
