First,gaijin only give JH-7A with 5.5 tons of bombs.Because Gaijin think JH-7A cant hang bombs under the body,and only add fuel tank to full it.But it can hang with bombs.
Second,Gaijin nerfed China PL-8 missiles.the in game PL-8 is a wrong mix of in reality PL-8A and PL-8B,PL-8A is China copy of Isreal Python-3,same bad as Isreal Python-3 on F16.But PL-8B is 20 years later missiles after China copy PL-8A,and gaijin give PL-8B s head aiming to PL-8 in game.Because PL-8A/Python-3 have no head aiming.And in game PL-8 indeed is just worse than AIM-9L or AIM-9M,rather than like Gaijin said in JH-7A DEV:“PL-8 is Omnipotent and great China copied Isreal Python-3”
Third,Gaijin dont add any JH-7A AGMs that it can use in reality.Such as Chinese made KD-88,KD-91 ,CM-802AKG,and Russian sold KH-29T,KH-31.And there are a lot of pictures to show JH-7A can hang with these AGMs.Gaijin really hate China so much,even dont want to give China a Russian COPY KH-29T.
Forth.Gaijin put this jet at 11.7!There is no bad jet,there is only bad BR.I really dont know how gaijin dare to put this big meat at 11.7,which has no any AGMs,or even no any GOOD missiles,but still not a good dogfighter.IT is obslutely a Chinese Bias again.Just like last update Gaijin nerfed and weakened J-8F.and last and last update Gaijin did to ZTZ99A.
I really dont know why gaijin keep so high hot heart to nerfing any Chinese original things.Even the F16 F5E F5C copies have no this kind of bias.Is this mean Gaijin,as a Russian game company,want to show your political standing is Taiwan?rather than Mainland China.Or i really dont know why you only nerf Chinese mainland things again and again.
The first picture is the PL-8 in the game. The modeling is PL-8B, but the data is PL-8A. The second picture is of the real PL-8B. The third picture is PL-8. Model error. particularly bad
Gaijin mixed lots of things.
First a small summary:
PL-8= Python 3 (Just an imported missile)
PL-8A: First chinese upgrade with a 2 element seeker to improve IRCCM (Should reduce it’s FOV)
PL-8B : Second chinese upgrade with a 4 element seeker to further improve IRCCM (Shoudl reduce it’s FOV even more)
So the PL-8 3D model we have in game is the PL-8B which is the late upgrade of the missile.
The helmet mounted display with missile slaving was only avalable for the PL-8B and not the PL-8/PL-8A and we have missile slaving in game.
So all of that point to the fact that Gaijin indeed modeled the PL-8B.
They probably nerfed it because, same as the Magic 2, it would be OP if it was introduced with it’s IRCCM when it came into the game. And since minor nation cannot have the best tech (past a very few exception) , they waited for major nation (URSS/USA) to get IRCCM missile to implement the IRCCM on the MAGIC2.
I guess you have to do a bug report for the PL-8B and hope it get accepted for the next major update. Since now with the missile we have in game, the PL-8A/B with IRCCM woudn’t be op so they could be added.
I excitedly developed the J-8F and launched the PL-8. Any decent player can get around this by simply firing flares. And to my horror, when I give my opinion on the performance of the PL-8 in public, most people who reply say this is better than the AIM-9L! I am not sure what to say. And Gaijin is trying to give JH-7A two PL-5C and PL-8, which are not all-aspect, respectively, to go to BR11.7. This is a double whammy for J-8F. Wouldn’t 11.3 be appropriate for the current payload?
They say it’s better than the 9L because the stats lead you to believe it. Supposedly the flare resistance is supposed to be the same as the 9L, but it certainly doesn’t feel that way. Sub 1km in rear aspect, the 9L is a death machine that is almost as hard to flare as a R-73 from the same shot. The Pl-8 on the other hand see’s the flare and goes for it in the same situation. I’m pretty sure there is more behind the scene in terms of flare resistance performance in game than the data we get from datamines.
We don’t have confirmation on the 5C’s aspect yet IIRC. I hear mixed information on it, some claim it is the same as the 5E while others say it is rear aspect only just better pull. If they add it as rear aspect only, this plane will literally be DOA. If we get the real armaments this plane should have, I think it should be 12.0 instead (GB 100’s, KH-29T/TE, maybe KH-29L some suggested?) with Pl-5EII’s as the main missiles you would run. This would finally give it a comparable missile to R-73/9M and not have this plane overbearing in ground RB.
The T is backwards compatible with the TE model, either would be fine IMO, with the TE being more or less the equivalent of the MiG-29SMT’s TD. It’s just an extra booster on there that’s all.
This has nothing to do with JH-7 but I need to point out
Apparently if you’re not familiar with much happenings, many people pretends to be Chinese. At least one was caught last month in a poor attempt to nerf MBT-2000 by forging fake documents saying that it has T-72 transmission instead of Leclerc transmission
This is too much. I have seen people say that the J-8F only has four air-to-air missiles instead of six air-to-air missiles. Then they took out the photos and many people found that it was the J-8B, not the J-8F.
