Look. I’ll start by admitting I’m not the best player. I can respond a bit slow, I make dumb mistakes, I do a bit of stupid every now and then and suffer the consequences. You got me; I’m a damn dirty casual who just plays the game to get my tank fix. I’ve been busted. But you see, here’s the problem.
We are playing a game where, in all due seriousness, a solid 8/10 fights are won by “who shot who first”. My lack of skill be damned, that’s just how the chili meets the cheese from what I can understand. The higher BR you go, the more obvious this becomes. Nothing wrong with that. Completely understandable. I agree entirely. Yessir-ee. Spot on, sport. 10/10. Right on, buster.
But tell me, and tell me how - in the name of all that is reasonable, decent and lovely on our beautiful green ball we call home - does it make ANY SENSE WHATSOEVER to cram Late Cold War, laser-rangefinding, 65-mother-fucking-pound HE-shit slinging machine guns with EIGHT MILLION HORSEPOWER in the same BR as literal museum pieces from the Second World War?
I don’t care that they don’t have any armor worth jack. They can already snipe me from eight miles out, and before I can hope to respond they’ll have six MILLION more shells on my way already. I literally could not care less that they are vulnerable to CAS. I am not staying in another stupid match with these scumbags long enough to get one. I do not care enough. I will sealclub and one-death leave a million matches before I even begin to create the smallest INKLING of a care in the world for another stupid, worthless match. Oh, and my team isn’t gonna do jack anyways, so don’t even mention them. And I do not - I repeat, do NOT - care at all that there are “other tanks at 7.0-7.7 that aren’t from the 50’s already in the game”. I cannot think of a single one, (save for maybe those stupid little italian armored cars that carry literally a single recoilless rifle and can hide hull-down until the end of time) that agitates anyone in this stupid game more than these ridiculous HE-spam MGs.
I admit, I get a little gwumpy when I have to deal with them. I just think they’re dumb. I think it’s dumb we have to fight tanks that have 5.0s reloads, laser-rangefinders, 1000+ horsepower and amazing power-to-weight ratios that can climb and hide and duck and cover ANYWHERE without a CARE IN THE WORLD while every other tank at the same BR is either nowhere near as good or much, much worse. So what gives? I know this isn’t going to get fixed. I’m just going to go back to SEAL CLUBBING new players with JOY in my heart, and I’m going to go back to One-death leaving every match I don’t care for. I’m happy to do both until the end of time. But really, Gaijin - why?
