Finally have the ability to post again.
Can we have a rename on this? No Centurion Mk I’s were equipped with Polstens. Only the P series tanks did.
A more accurate name would be A41 (Polsten) or A41 P9 - if you want to use the museum one. For more clarification the naming convention goes:
- A41: P series tanks
- A41*: Centurion Mk I
- A41A: Centurion Mk II
To give more suggestions there’s several unique P series tanks that could be added:
- A41 P2: 17-Pdr with stabilizer, and 20mm Polsten. Could probably go to 6.0 or 6.3.
- A41 P5: 17-Pdr and 20mm Polsten. Has the SSS gearbox which allowed for far higher reverse speeds.
- A41 P17: Which arrived as just a hull, not a completed vehicle. Had a Centurion Mk II turret fitted with stabilizer equipment.
- A41: No 20mm, just 17-Pdr and Besa. Could be a tech-tree tank at 5.7 bridging the gap between Comet and Centurion. Could be any of the Besa equipped P series tanks.
