Given the state of the MGS project that caused CAPINT to be made, nah
Still joint french German. And I said down the line Germany doesn’t need it but it’s a option for some point (: after the french ofc
No it’s not joint german, there is a reason why swedish leo are not in germany tech tree too, think again.
CAPINT is France transitionnal tank, KNDS Germany is just providing the hull to a customer.
It’s not really joint-German. KNDS France has Leopard hulls, and they already work, hence using them, but CAPINT itself is for France, by France
They dont. Knds France has never produced leopard hulls never used leopard hulls (until now because knds Deutschland) and most importantly really didn’t have industry to make the hulls.
Yes it’s for France but it needed not company’s knds Deutschland and knds France it’s a joint program. Both company’s worked on it and btw like capint uses a 2a8 hull for its production model so even if knds France has 1 or 2 2a4 hulls it doesn’t fit in this case lol
It, is, not, a, joint, program, i don’t know from where you found that, KNDS France bought hull from KNDS Germany and that is all, there is no association in any way, no joint venture, nothing for CAPINT.
Bringing an hull and just helping the customer to integrate the turret is a totally different thing than for example challenger 3 which is a joint venture between BAE and Rheinmetal.
So go cope somewhere else pretty please, german technologies being used on something does not mean it belongs to Germany, as far as i know no one is claiming the whole russian tech tree because they use stuff from Thales and other french companies.
The same with all the Swiss project, because it has French components it doesn’t make it a Franco-Swiss project, the same here its a French project even if it has German components
+1, add it in whatever fashion the challenger 130mm is added.
No, that challenger is worked on by a joint venture, CAPINT is a pure french product that bought an hull from another company.
Joint? Isn’t it just by Rheinmetall ?
This link is for the Challenger 3
Yeah ? Challenger 3 is the one getting the 130mm throught a joint venture of Rheinmetal and BAE like i said.
He meant the German 130mm MBT test-bed, not whatever the British are planning to do (also in the link I can’t find anything about a 130mm)
That has a manned turret.
Neither forget the Terminator nor Panzer 87-140 had a unmanned turret which the ADT140 does.
Source?? As pipimer pointed out i was talking about the test bed, where UK claims ownership through chally hull.
