Is this the Afghan Army 2025 Catalogue ?

How did I completely miss that?

Dunno but if it is 1.0 these will kill other tanks.

Yes, and the M13 is armed with twin 12.7mm M2HBs, not 7.7mm Brens. My problem is not with the hit probability but the quality of the damage being done, something that the M13 accomplishes nicely.

the 7.7mm is bigger then the 7.62mms that most 1.0 planes use.

Yes, but you will land considerably less hits with an AA than with a plane, it is not nearly as efficient as when you can approach the enemy closely in another aircraft.

yes but that has not stopped russia from straping them to a truck.

You can’t even hear these things, and if most players can’t even notice a massive ZA35 that just flanked their entire team or a camping wiesel or anything really small and ratty, I doubt anyone can notice an AT gun. Plus, stationary AT guns are more or less becoming more infantry focused, and WT will never have infantry operated stuff

True, but the quantity of fire coming from four MGs is around the bare minimum we have in game for intercepting planes, I just cannot seem a twin mount being remotely good at shooting down even the weakest of aircraft.

Edit: I am talking about LOW caliber MGs here, such as those found on the Light AA Mk.1 and GAZ (4M).

See your self out now :)

You have to get it there first and we have CAS so you are more likely a dead duck than a real predator : )

The increase in calibre accounts for the difference in hit probability.

The GAZ-AAA (4M), damages through quantity of fire, while the M13 does it through quality. A 50.cal has the potential of seriously ripping up a plane’s superstructure and powerplant, meanwhile a swarm of 7.62 will damage more components over a longer period of time, weakening multiple aspects needed to maintain flight composure.

The issue here is that I don’t believe a dual 7.7 mount could produce the same swarm of bullets necessary to down an aircraft in reasonable time.

random truck towing a gun is faster than most tanks, and lots of maps have broken sniping spots not far from spawn, and some things like portable tows can be carried b insanely fast humvee hulls

yeah but you have the ASU 57 ,that is much worse. The Archer is nothing more than a static gun in reality.

I mean things like the TOW wiesel, asu 57, archer, m50, m56 are already basically the size of stationary guns but they move. I see no reason why stationary guns should be added

If anything Gaijin have in the game is a measure then I see no reason why not. To be honest though they would be fodder for CAS and would only really be a feature for a Tank Only mode which like this convo is off topic : )

We have plenty of fast snipers covered in bushes and hidden in trees ,I don’t see a towed gun being that much of an issue to anybody else but I would wish anybody trying to use one luck. Its bad enough for SP guns as it is in this game.

Going back on topic, who wants to drive around in an unarmoured recovery vehicle when many can’t survive for two minutes in a tank ?

I mean, I would say towed guns should be like a last resort weapon and can only be spawned when one team has less than half the amount of tickets than the other team

I think they’re just normal rifle caliber MGs. Early Grants had them but they were later removed for being quite useless.

They look bigger then the bren guns.

Depends though. The Browning’s barrel is thicker than the BREN’s
