Britain Air Forces

In my opinion, Britain has a very healthy Rank V with indigenous designs across the board, while Germany’s Rank VI and Italy’s Rank V are notoriously slim even without discounting the Sabre. So while it is unfortunate that the Sabre F.4 hasn’t been added yet, I can see why it might not be a priority to the developers. That said I’d like to see both the F.4 and the Avon Sabre(s) someday.

I mean for me it’s less that the UK is bad and more that these Canadian-built and used Sabres have yet to have an RCAF version added.

I agree we already have canadaair sabres in two trees. CAC sabres to the tree and cl as premium/squadron

On that note make fg and fgr different. Give one aim9l leave the other one (fix modifications tho wtf is that).

British ground has 5 challengers 2 that for no reason got all the same rounds so they have to be same br. don’t make that mistake

The TV Martel should have been comparable. But having it actually work correctly would to “too OP” lmao

I have said that I don’t mind having the CL13 in the German tech tree. You can check my ID; I almost have all aircrafts from all nations in War Thunder. I just want to say that it doesn’t make any sense for the British tech tree not to have the CL13. Both the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Air Force extensively operated the CL13, and the RAF had over 400 of the Sabre F4 variant. For Canadian players, seeing our vehicles scattered across three different nations is really frustrating. I believe the British tech tree should have a Canadian sub-tree, considering the historical and military cultural ties between the two countries.

I think gaijin probably don’t care much about players’ patriotic sentiments, except for Russia lol

I mean, yes, but competitive Rank 6s? Barely any of us have anything. The only plane I’d consider truly competitive in Air RB for Britain’s Rank 6 is probably the Harrier, by virtue of actually having flares and semi capable missiles. Yes, you can consider maybe the Jaguar, and Scimitar, and maybe at a stretch the Hunter F.6, but all of those have severe caveats and impositions that make them far less effective than other counterpart aircraft.

Germany has the MiG-19, but decent IR missiles kinda negate it a lot, although I’d say the Hunter F.58 on the surface of it appears to be a very capable airframe. As for Italy, last I heard they have precisely nothing.

While I do agree with Harlech’s point of it being a bit daft and a bit of a traversty to not have Canadian Sabres or Avon Sabres represented, I feel like there is a more obvious, urgent problem, of there being a real lack of viable platforms at Rank 6. Avon Sabres, or a RCAF Sabre is unlikely to solve that problem for Britain.

CAC mk.32 with 9b’s could be rank 6 like the German CL.13 MK.6.

Agree with you about them all being trash. I firmly believe that the biggest issue facing Britain is Gaijin’s vehicle selection. Things like Javelin in update supersonic, Tonka with the F-16 rather than F-14, no Gnat, Superswift etc, the only late Hunter having (theoretically) broken missiles so it’s br is forced up, the Vampire being the same br as the others but having the earlier engine.

Ideally Vampire gets a new engine and the name just gets changed. Gnat gets added, Superswift too, Hunter either goes down or is replaced by something like the P.1109B so rank 6 becomes viable.

ATM nothing is good, and I include the Harrier and Jag because one is only viable because it has acceleration to get to bases and the other because it has missiles.

In the future I want gaijin add night fighter version of Mosquito, Vampire & Venom

And add another fighter aircraft 8.7 ~ 9.3 BR from RAF, RN & SAAF in rank 5 ~ 6

Superswift, Gnat, CL-13 MK.4 or P.1109B could fill that gap

Ideally the first two though

In my opinion, Gnat F.1, Sea Vixen F.A.W. Mk.1, CL-13 Mk.2 (GE or pack or event), CL-13 Mk.4, CL-13 Mk.6, Sea Venom F.(A.W.) Mk.22 and Hawk T.1

It’s my idea another aircraft at 8.7 ~ 9.3 BR

those too pain me. Type 545 would be a superb competitor to the MiG-19 and F-100, and the Gnat would just be a lovely plane to fly. Yeah, off meta maybe, but I’d love to see them.

Honestly I think the GR.3 probably still is the most effective Rank 6 Grinder for Britain. I mean, flares, alright guns, decent acceleration, VTOL allowing for VIFF, and 9Gs.

I’d love to see a P.1154. It, to me at least, sounds like a Yak 141 minus the bonkers missiles.

Would like to see one of the export Hunters (F.74?) or a later FGA variant for TT in a folder too.

Yeah, it probably is. I need to play the Gr3 more, but can never be bothered 😂

the reason its so good in RB is it gets flares… which means you can counter the All Aspect missiles that are so blatantly undertiered…

absurd i know

and unlike its later incarnations, like the Sea Harrier, Its probably the correct BR for the airframe

yeah well apparently Gaijin forgets that facing all aspect missiles in something like a Hunter is just outright unfair… but hey what do I know

At least the Hunters are 10.3 anymore. But yeah, high tier ARB is just a mess

nah 9.7 is still horrible for the Hunter F.6… fortunately you can run SNEBs as flares but god I hate that.

Also any word on BOL rails?

None that I’ve heard of, I doubt they’ll ever fix it though as it was likely done for “balancing reasons” for the Gripen and everything else is just collateral damage that htey dont care about

Also the refusal to give the bucc its TIALD pod is annoying but i guess only the soviets are allowed to have their vehicles use equipment that was only tested the T-80B even having thermals for example
