Reloading time is a balancing parameter, so I don’t see why it can’t be lowered, we already have tanks with unrealistically fast RoF for balance.

It is just how it’s decided in game, that being said i dont think that it is that unrealistic, i dont know much about the penetration of an explosion but the lethal range of them follows a power law
Understood, but then you have nothing to worry about. To destroy heavy and super-heavy tanks, you still have to shoot above the turret or use overpressure, which means you have to aim at the weak points.
I don’t understand why we have trash like M44 and M55 fighting WW2 vehicles anyway.
What was the point of adding them?
If there were at least some AI targets that could be destroyed by CAS, Bombers and SPGs that would drain tickets instead of just forcing every vehicle into having a BR where they are efficient on fighting on city maps with the same boring objectives, over and over.

the M55 has better ballistics than the M44. It basically trades a lot of mobility, reload time and low profile, for a closed top, a little easier to aim round and said round being more “powerful”.
M106 is M55’s round, while M107 is M44’s round
But a problem kind of arises there, the M106 has 23.06 kg of TNT while the M107 has 9.14 Kg (around 2.6x times), even so the pen of said rounds is barely a 1mm difference. They both need to aim for roof, and that’s where the reload on the M55 kills it, M44 can scurry away and wait 15sec (I believe?), while M55 crawls away, eats +30 seconds to reload and dies. M55 could try to snipe but even it’s ballistics still kind of lack.
If M55 is actually given an upgrade in explosive pen, it could be in 5.0 BR

m55 is fine where it is any buff would make it OP its one shot cannon and has good survivability for being a glass cannon super good mobility Aswell most infuriating thing to fight since its super stable for not having a STAB
