It would be very interesting if this ammunition were added to make some of the worst tanks in the game a bit more decent. If several Shermans have an APCR round that was a prototype, the French tanks could have a bullet that would see very limited service.
On the other hand, I don’t have high hopes. This change only affects tanks that are currently locked, except for those of us who unlocked them back in the day. This means the developers simply won’t bother working on something that won’t generate revenue, as is the case with many other developments.
Anyway, aside from this issue, it’s clear that the APDS Mle1937 has a damage and penetration bug. When you fire at enemies on flat surfaces, it often ricochets or is stopped by armor, and other times it does ridiculously low damage. It seems the developers are having a huge problem making this type of ammunition work properly. A real shame about the developers.
