yeah and even the australian land 400 phase insiders say that the turret was able to withstand the tests by the australians so both hull and turret passed the stanag 4569 level 6
Oh wow on the right hand side its all just armor, we could try to report the turret armor on the Boxer
Puma’s turret was rated for STANAG 6 FYI…
Gaijin would never tho.
that spacing u see on the first picture its for the sight, but yeah majority of the turret its armor.
too much hopium sadly
Gaijin cannot comprahend that modern composites aren’t only as good as an RHA plate that’s 5 times thinner. With 3 AMAP plates on the Puma’s turret, they reached STANAG 6
With just 2 AMAP plates on the hull sides, they achieved STANAG 6 WITHOUT ERA, and ERA by itself was rated STANAG 5, i.e protection vs 25mm APFSDS at 500mm +/- 30 (including head-on), so we’re talking AT LEAST ~180mm of RHAe protection.
Not to mention how Puma’s front was made to exceed all STANAG ratings, making it reach into the 45mm/57mm APFSDS protection territory.
We could try to improve the turret armor on the Boxer and the KF
well gaijin cannot comprehend that composite its better than RHA for some reason composite has wore multiplier than RHA against kinetic to begin with
Pictures are from here btw:
(timestamped to show a guy rotating the ““basket”” (its not, its just a spall shield ^^)
Also, same documentary but EN version:
Gaijin try to comprahend Russia isn’t the greatest country in the world: challenge impossible
I gonna try to report this.
alr ty, if needed i can try to find more pics about it
Idk if this is Really a second layer or if its just a layer that is a bit more seperated because i have a picture with the sWaTrgInf and it doesnt have that
They did change these plates a bit between versions, so i’d argue that it’s possibly just covering more now…

Even without the second addon plate the side plate wouldnt cover it, so either there is a third plate behind it and it was removed on sWaTrgInf or the side-plate simply covers them visually now (I think the latter is more likely tbh - it also looks like it extends further forward in the sWaTrgInf picture)
Edit: Additional picture

Unfortunately i cant do a report on this rn. Not enough definitive evidence that it has that though there is a Brochure on the Lance 2 which states that the Crew Protection is STANAG 4569 Medium Calibre threats.

Medium calibre would be Stanag Level 5 or 6 I suppose.
Though given how Rheinmetall uses that term, I’d argue its rather level 6?
Pictures from Eurosatory 2022
(They might all be 35x228 or just the first image is 35x228 and the others 30x173)
Since they use “medium caliber” as a term for up to 35mm…
that does look more like 30mm because in the background we can see a Lynx or at least similiarly to it
And how does the boxer perform at Stanag 5/6 conditions in game?
