That’s a regular Hornet, but I believe the Super Hornet can also carry 10 AMRAAMS

F/A-18E Early (Block I) would be late 4th gen fighter
And Block II & Block III it’s 4.5 gen fighter aircraft

I see this plane coming soon. There is barely any difference between B and D variants of the F-14 so no point adding the super tomcat. But the super hornets carry AMRAAMs.

Unless we see the F/A-18C Legacy Hornet in March I doubt we will see a Super Hornet soon. Maybe in the December update.
Also there are several differences between the F-14B and D, better radar, new cockpit and HUD, better AIM-54’s and the ability to carry AMRAAM’s. More than enough reasoning to add the Super Tomcat

Why not!..Rafale was introduced into the game immediately in the 2014 version with AESA…
The Rafale F3.R was added alongside the Eurofighters. The earlier versions of the Rafale wouldn’t have been much good and Gaijin needed to add something good enough to compete with the likes of the F-15E which before the Storm Warning update was dominating with nothing else that could truly compete.
Also they usually try to build up to the ultimate versions of aircraft when suitable. In cases like the F/A-18’s they won’t simply skip the C and go straight to the E. Granted they are likely to skip the A but only because it is too late for it to be top dog in the current game and seems more suited to be either a squadron vehicle or event vehicle.
