could just be what’s been tested currently (or at the time anyways) or what was thought to be a interdiction strike roll as the bomb dropping was only recently tested and such with the 123rd from KPDX (Portland Oregon) out at Mountain Home AFB in Idaho, as the F-15EXs are primarily going to Guard squadrons first, (yap yappy yappington (me)) more heavier loadouts should be getting fielded as time goes on

they also sound very similar to the F-100s in the C eagles but they have a deeper growl to them (last year the Oregon airshows used 1 F-15C and 1 F-15EX in the 123rds portion of said airshow, its faint, but if you listen you can really hear it, but now they have enough to use 2 EXs during the performance)

the F-22 is straight up louder in all metrics, the EX just has a notably deeper growl as the F-22 uses the F-119-PW-100s

F-110-GE-129s
where for me, i could identify the F-22s and F-35s just on hearing alone, the F-15EX makes me second guess due to just how close the sound is to the F-15Cs

Nah no way, won’t bet on that. Last year people said it was coming and it didn’t, since then the meta has barely gone closer to it
we have gotten ALOT closer to it we have GNSS guided radar missiles in fact the only thing that would be different about it compared to the other top tier jets is it would have 22 ARMs and that might not even be the case because thats only a possible loadout and hasn’t been fielded
We don’t have new gen fox 2, we don’t have new gen fox 3, we don’t have stealth mechanics, we don’t have electronic warfare, we don’t have late gen 4.5… sure some of these can come together with 5th gen, but we still have some steps to go imo.
Realistically I would say the first ones would come in the summer update
F-15EX doesnt use stealth its compatible with AIM-9L and AIM-9M so FOX 2 doesn’t matter we literally got the AIM-120D not that long ago the only upgrade it could really get is the AIM-260 EW is optional not required we literally have the SU-30SM2 which is late 4.5 gen

Didn’t say it did, but stealth is a mechanic that must come at least together with 5th gen and that means others mechanics will have to come in others updates before that, as adding such game mechanic is always a lot of work and changes to the meta
New gen fox 2 is necessary for 5th gen as well and gotta be added before or at the same time
AIM-120D is just a slight upgrade, I’m talking about real late missiles like the Meteor, the AIM-174 and AIM-260, the PL-15, etc
That’s plain wrong, modern aircraft have less and less countermeasures because they rely on EW. Many aircraft in the game already suffer from that, like the MiG-29KR and the J-15T

we dont need 5th gen to have EX we dont need new IR missiles till 5th gen the maps are to small for the meteor the AIM-174 and the AIM-260 anyway it wouldnt make to much differance the F-15EX has the same amount of countermeasures as the E and your saying we need late 4.5 gen before we can have 4.5 gen thats very contradictory
This is not about what we need for the F-15EX, this is about what we need for 5th gen. And for it to be added properly we need, bare minimum, new wave of IR missiles (for compatibility reasons), stealth mechanics (obviously), electronic warfare mechanics (because no, the F-15EX isn’t the only plane in the universe and others have low cm amounts), and probably enhancements to existing mechanics like seekers, countermeasures (due to the new IR missiles), radars (to work more accurately with stealth)
this post isnt about 5th gen its about the EX we do not need 5th gen for the EX if you want 5th gen go to a 5th gen post and talk there

The leaks aren’t based on anything more than guesses nowadays, but that’s possible. Still though my guess would be december along with all others late 4.5th gen

we havent had proper leaks since over half a year ago because gaijin did sent a cease and desist to the leakers
there is a chance that it will come in the next update or the november one but i think that it is more likely to be added in the christmas update
the only way i see gaijin adding it before christmas is if they want to release 5th gens for the christmas update

technically, it would have an increased counter measure count to the one we have in game, as the EX and any Es that have gone through the AESA upgrade have gotten extra countermeasures within the tail booms, can’t see how much as the photos are either at a bad angle or are grainy to all hell, but it does have a small boost in them, along with the EPAWSS (RWR/MAW) on the tail section as the first F-15Es that have been retrofitted with the EPAWSS have recently taken flight again
