Boeing F-15EX Eagle II - Sharpening the Bald Eagle's Talons

I know, I just used it as an example of why it should be 2.5+ not just 2.5

Publicly released data is always underrated. The B2 Spirit is listed at carrying a maximum of 40,000 lbs of ordinance but each B2 involved in the Iran attack carried two 30,000 lb GBU-57s.

Mach 2.9 was stated, but i have my doubts, because as far as we know, the F-15EX has mostly the same engines, and it’s probably heavier, so i don’t see how a fly-by-wire system would make it achieve Mach 2.9. Maybe it would have been a secret pre-production F-15EX made with the more powerful F110-GE-132 and striped of all systems (similar to the Streak Eagle), but i guess that we will find this in around 20 years time

new build F110-GE-129’s. i think theyve changed them at least a bit since the first ones like 30-40 years ago.

i dont really see why it would be heavier, its a newer build airframe with modern electronics

yeah we wont really find out rn

it also could be something like changed materials for the exhaust nozzles letting it run more afterburner and higher exhaust temps or something like that

but yeah, I dont think it should get that fast in game, but think its a reason to keep speeds as 2.5+ instead of flat 2.5

PUBLIC thrust values remain more or less still the same. Yeah, it might be more efficient, but you need POWA
The advanced eagles are a tad bit heavier

@Nostalgistic You could also throw in a JAGM-F (x28) loadout because they are already flying with the F-15E and will surly be on the F-15EX as the USAF plans to switch from the AGM-65 to the JAGM-F

how do you know?

For my safety, I do not actually and it was all a blatant lie

Roger that.

Did they mention JAGM-F in the budget? I could’ve sworn they wanted SiAW to replace Mavericks

They mention that in some NDIA conferences power points. And the SiAW might be a bit to expensive to replace the Mavericks

Pretty sure they’re actually a bit lighter due to a new lighter airframe. At least that’s what most sources claimed last time I did research on that

surely you mean air to ground?

+1 always thought EX was a cool designation

And air but with a few things added that would only take a few months to develop, 2 EXs could take out half of the Iraqi Air Force

I guess what I wrote was outdated, but I’ve updated it regardless.
