Boeing AH-64E v6 Apache Guardian: Above the Best

According to the Arnold engineering splash page for the M260 (non Navalized rotary 7x AUR pod), and M261 (non Navalized rotary 19x AUR pod), they don’t claim APKWS compatibility, where only the prior linked LAU-131A/A does.

It’s likely that the other pods aren’t incompatible, but just haven’t yet passed certification. And it’s open to if a unit would wait for certification or not. And depends on the available supply of “short” (Mk. 4) motors to any given unit.

compatibility doesnt mean it cannot be fired, APKWS were used by army Apaches long time ago from normal M261, and the aircraft itself didn’t know that it has APKWS loaded, it can be treated as a normal hydra rocket and will work just fine.

@WaretaGarasu @Gunjob Sorry to bother you guys, would you plz check out this report (Community Bug Reporting System)
Would be great if it’s sent to the devs
Much appreciated.

So I made this report on the JAGM-MR explosive mass being too low: Community Bug Reporting System
It got denied with picture evidence of the PBXN-9 weight 2.76 kg of a test warhead for the AGM-114R Multi Purpose Warhead with the weight of the warhead itself being 10.89 kg. Does someone know more about this to explain why there’s so little explosive filler in the warhead?

Anyone else having trouble actually shooting with the IR Jagms? I get a lock with the crosshair around the target, I press fire (doesn’t fire), the crosshair disappears and reappears, press fire again and still nothing

it happens to me sometimes

Where are the Proximity rounds for the cannon?

Same place as the proximity fuse for the JAGM

why is the apache E not in the british tech tree?

It’s probably coming soon™

The blast frag sleave is most of the weight. Similar to the blast frag Mavericks.

220lb total weight, only 80lb is explosive. Rest is the fragmentation materials and warhead housing.

The AGM-179 missiles are simply terrible. They’re so badly damaged that I couldn’t destroy a Pantsir today, even with two missiles. They can’t even penetrate tanks, and they can simply disable the transmission of even light tanks. Why is it that when it comes to the US, the Gaijin destroys everything? They reduced the speed, okay, they removed one type of missile guidance, okay, they removed the tandem high-explosive fuse, okay. What’s next? Remove the missiles themselves?

That’s what I was thinking, AFAIK the Devs are correct about the explosive mass for the HEAT warhead being correct at that low of a value but they refuse to model the blast fragmentation warhead leaving out a ton of explosive mass making it a worse hellfire. On top of that, they decided to give the AGM-179 a weaker spall cone despite both the hellfire and JAGM having the same missile Caliber of 178mm but apparently they’re using the K charge warhead’s diameter of 153 mm to make it weaker.

Look at Britain, the Brimstone is made terrible, more than the AGM 179. Only SAL guidance instead of just limiting it to fewer missiles, weaker and has one of the most jank top-attack paths in-game

ok, so where is that blast frag sleave when it does no damage to an AA

Wouldn’t the Guardian be able to change between equipping 4 stingers or CIRCM on the wing tip pylons?

Maybe, but the US one don’t have the AN/AAR-57 MAWS fitted on the tail so it would lose the rear 180° MAWS coverage.

AFAIK only the South Korean and Taiwan AH-64E have pictures of wingtip Stingers.
