If anything the BMP-T role is infantry/armour support. It is designed to destroy tanks in the same way the Bradley is as a last resort.

lol that’s what I was thinking man, i can play 12.3 china, get downtioers to 11.3 quite regularly and stomp with it xD avoiding the 12.7 SPAA
It really is wild numbers, I also had to stop grinding Germany as I was not for waiting 9 mins in a queue, I don’t mind like 4 mins max for specific stuff, but 9 - 12 mins for just a standard 1 man RB game is nonsense.

BMPT should have a big armor rework and lets not talk about its accuracy i thought this game was about realism and IRL the autocannons wobble all the time and its very poorly modeled. For that matter all russian tanks need armor rework because NATO tanks far less armor than russia. I mean i thought russian bias was a myth but its probably not because ERA does not work like 500mm extra slab of armor it explodes on impact so rounds that are specifically designed or have head that counters that should be able to pass through and the bmpt… tell me why it gets 5 crew members (the tech tree version) and 3 of them are gunners, and the amount of spall liners it gets is also insane. In IRL it gets trashed on but because this is war thunder and its a russian game they have it at 99% accuracy and armor so thick theres almost no way of stopping it, AND YOU CAN BUY ONE FOR 70 BUCKS WHICH ALL THE NEW PLAYERS ARE DOING

Either Gaijin really wants this tank to be the most broken in the game - or they don’t care about fixing it and prefer to add anime copy-paste. like a new goddamn Type 90.

Not something unique to the BMPT but it’s certainly one of the vehicles with the highest amount of them, which makes them more likely to just turn into a black hole that eats rounds

To be fair, on BMPT-72 there is no armour around them whatsoever yet they’re still classed as external.
On BMPT, the 6mm RHA plates around them have creating spall disabled, so there’s that.

Why are we fighting BMPTs with a PUMA
Usually something is considered “external” when it’s literally outside of the crew compartment… here, they have some plates around them (but the crew can literally touch the rounds if they wanted to in the chutes).
Gaijin is genuinely a case of “whatever they can’t do anything about it anyways” whenever they do this and the community is mad, they know they’re immune.
