Even MM is biased, im getting 10.7 and 11.0 team mates all the times while fighting BMPTs
Did we get premium matchmaking like WoT used to do for some premium tanks?

I’ve been playing the AIM a lot for the event. Most of my team is in 11.0-11.7 tanks and we are forced into fighting 3-4 terms in the initial rush, and then a steady flow of not hard to kill but pretty annoying Soviet MBTs until the match ends with us getting spawntrapped by an invincible hulldown alien-looking thing.

The funny thing is he’s not the only streamer complaining about it. I don’t know how much Gajin needs to pay these people to say it’s balanced but it’s not looking good even publicly.

I have a pretty bad kd, I’ll admit that. I could go buy the pack term and get to an insane kd in ~ a week. This thing is insanely unfair.

Even streamers with excellent tier stats will tell you this is the worst thing to fight and shouldn’t be in game.

My favorite WT creator ThunderWar hates this thing with a passion and he’s sponsored by Gajin but most say it simply cannot be balanced.

I feel it can but it would require Gajin to make changes they would protest are not “realistic” whatever that means. They can easily make the game fun for everyone by removing this one tank temporarily instead of playing the collection game, even when I play it in Russia it’s so easy it’s honestly boring I don’t know how Russian mains keep their dopamine levels up from this.

Removing it won’t fix the main issue (see the 341 buff a few months ago). There needs to be a massive change to how it functions, no matter how “realistic”, or it will remain overpowered.

Most unrealistic game fix, remove CAS from ground battles and remove IFVs reskinned at light tanks. Then no SPAA is needed and while they’re at it remove auto cannons from the game.

Make every tank the same with artificial balance then boom games balanced

An easy fix is send it to 12.7, and make it so its turret scaffolding and weapons can actually be reliably damaged and destroyed

And while their at it, make it explode like a supernova when its ammo belts are hit like pretty much every other ammo belt equipped vehicle in the game (I had a BMPT hit my CRV with a singular 30mm shell before, hit my ammo belt - i sploded)

They CAN be killed when their in the open with the same consistency as most russian vehicles at this BR range - sometimes you one shot, sometimes you do nothing (T-80 fuel tanks go brrr)

Its oppressive/broken when its hull down (you can see spookston doing it on the desert map), it simply cant be killed when in a hull down position and is near impossible to disable without it killing/crippling you first

That’s the grenade launcher ammo as you can see, its seperated from the crew compartment by 100mm+ of armor so not surprising.

Yes, I’m envious of the spall liner. The BMPT is more of a nuisance than the 72 with 5 crew. It’s like killing a rat except it has 9 lives like a cat most times.

The AGL ammo should at minimum break the BMPT’s track above the ammo rack though. It’s not in an armored box that would prevent the blast force from punching through the structural steel separating the AGL ammo from the track.

The grenades really don’t do much in game, I’m convinced Gajin added them because it allows 2 extra crew members which operate a useless grenade launcher can take the spots of multiple lost crew.

It’s like having an IFV such as the Bradley contain extra crew who are useless but realistically can replace the crew inside the Bradley making it stronger without needing to provide much of a reason.

I mean just remove the ahistorical disconnection in the ammo belt between the turret top and the crew compartment, and there you have it

Ammo in the turret goes boom ? All the vehicle gets deleted

  1. My suggestion for fixes for bmpts:
  • Make the TT bmpt 12.3, the prem one 12.0
  • Turn the ammo belt back into a singular belt that kills the vehicle when hit
  • Make it classified as a medium tank, so it can no longer refill its ammo using ammo boxes, forcing it to relocate when it runs out of ammo, or be much more sparing when it comes to the atgms.
  • Make the side ERA much less reliable in stopping Kenetic rounds, or just remove the additional side ERA that can be added on with the modifications
  • Make select fuel tanks no longer exterior, as a kenetic shell that passes through the fuel tank into the crew compartment should be treated like every other type of fuel tank, which sets the tank on fire and damages crew
  • Make the autoloader attached to the horizontal drive, so that when its disabled, the turret cannot rotate, as it is very clearly attached directly (tbh id like to see this also apply to every soviet block tank as well)
  • Possibly make it so that the heat from one gun overheating also heats up the secondary gun, so that bmpts cannot constantly fire forever (as it currently exists now)
  • Make enemies who destroy the atgms disable the guns as well, such as when the belts of the current bmpt damage model destroy the FCS and both breeches
  • Make the gunners in the TT bmpt in the hull have to physically change location to take control of the main guns/atgms, assuming both the commander and gunner in the turret were both killed (like literally every other tank in the game)

Not this one, BMPT’s should not be nerfed based on ahistorical change.

Exterior fuel tanks still considered exterior no matter how damaged it is, this works on every tank that has this quality.

If you’re gonna change this aspect you should apply to same rule to every tank that has exterior fuel tanks.

It needs the following to make it acceptable:

The auto cannon are made to behave more realistically, they’re inaccurate as crap in real life and the vehicle should reflect that if gaijin have a shred of honesty.

The era needs work so it actually obeys the laws of physics and isn’t a flat 250mm or whatever penetration reduction. A simple lookup table would be far superior to the incredibly lazy “solution” they implemented.

The artificial break in the ammo belt needs to be removed - it’s one of the most egregious examples of hand holding gaijin have done and it was entirely deliberate.

Just imagine if they’d spent the resources of doing the 3 plane stab foe the turm on actually fixing the bmpt issues. All that time wasted on something which is of very marginal benefit while the utterly broken bmpt rampages.

It’s another example of the game managers and designers not doing their jobs or being useless at their jobs.
