They do lose it turning as well mate, the MBTs for russia are not great, middle of the pack round, poor reload, poor depression, poor mobility which I’ve got a lot of kills from T series over extending and being caught out.
They are mediocre, not great, not bad.
Br incrases are literally ners mate.

It also quite literally did change how often it dies when ammo is hit internally now compared to when it would literally do nothing before.
Lets be frank here this thing needs to be removed. there’s no real argument to keep it in when it’s current condition is beyond borked.
I mean mate the 2A5 came out and had to be nerfed, the 2a6 the same, the M1 abrams dropped and forced teh MM to be overhauled.

The BMPT is a broken mess no one’s even arguing it isn’t anymore, well bar the most absolute hard core russian mains.

The big problem with it is that its damage model is complete bs when its hull down since you need at least 2 shots to either the belts or the 2 breeches to effectively put it out of combat. If Gaijin just made the belts actually realistic and maybe nerfed the autocannon accuracy a bit then i think its fine to stay.
Just sad how much these 2 vehicles nullify pretty much every other autocannon tank. Trying to finish the Israel grind but both Namers and the Eitan are completely useless against the BMPTs. A single 30mm APDS round into any of the Israel AC turrets and there goes all the ammo. Spikes tickle them at best (if you can even hit them with the angled spikes on the Tsrikhon and Eitan) and the BMPTs get the armor the Namer’s SHOULD have.
Pretty insulting that Gajin has done nothing with these things in months and even had the audacity to start them at 10.3 (a WHOLE BR under the Namers) and still have them at the same BR as the Namers while being drastically better.
Games is unplayable below top tier with even 10.3 tanks just getting sucked up into this slop.
How to fix it - Nerf it, only thing they can do. They cannot nerf the armour because well the T-80BVM and 90M are coated in Relikt. So nerf the damage model, make shots to the turret actually do something.
Why are we pixel hunting for a breach? When they have to be connected by something gaijin. Why does the turret generate no spall? Why do the modules do no damage, on fire and missing systems still spins around and kills me. We have no counter in game to this and even at top tier the BMPT says your SPAA and SAMS are dead and you cannot play IFVS.
REMOVE THE AMMO CRATE - It is not an SPAAG or an ATGM system remove it or limit the crate to replenish missiles, you do not get to sit behind a rock all game just holding down the fire button and rearming.
BMP-T is pure misery to play against and I’m sorry to say this but if support this vehicle being in the game and are abusing it then you are a piece of crap.
The BMPT/72 cannot be balanced and has to be removed from game, my placement out of these matches was top 3 on average of all 10. You can go look at replys but either way a team usually brings more than 1 bmpt and steam rolls the opposing team. Apart from the Broken SM-SV which has made top tier CAS obsolete for any other nation the current state of the game continues to be broken with a META.

I will say I am a good player (not the best) but this tank has destroyed BRs 10.3+ and at 12.7 in opposite nations it is killable but the situation are just too dependent on luck of flank and competence of player.
In addition with the new SPAA my teammates (random folks I play alone) bring it is even harder to kill at 12.7 in my opinion due to CAS being obsolete if you’re not in Russia.
Even so this should be enough for Gajin to fix top tier:
im three months late to this post sure but its still insane at 11.3 and simply no change in performance and i have checked the people who play it who have a 0.3kd in every other vehicle they play and dominate in it resulting in a 1.0 minimum kd its insane at 11.3 and could be moved to 12.0 and still outperform everything
I wrote that before they artifically buffed it like 3-4 more times.
Neither have any right to be below 11.7 and should definitely have their damage models adjusted so they arent as absurd anymore (but then again most of the dm related issues were intentional, artificial changes so they knew what they were doing and probably wont change that)
Honestly, I’m going to take a break from this game. It’s too broken at top tier playing only Russia and that’s all I play take care everyone and good luck. I hope you find other games to enjoy.
Some games are more than playable, while some are just infested with BMPTs going around in packs. Even if you kill a couple, there’s another waiting to trade you. Shots to the lower hull are also fairly reliable at OHKing those things. They also often struggle to quickly damage my Chinese MBTs.
The grind is all this game has but with this META what’s the point? I only play top tier and if I bother grinding other nations it’s meaningless since I will only win playing russia or sweat for a win and pray I have good teammates with other nations after playing and having an insane win streak past 10 games I think it’s just time to retire. I already uninstalled the game and requesting a refund on my premium account I bought November for 1 year. If i knew the BMPT was going to break top tier along with SM-SV I would of just kept my money and did 90 days or less. At this point I just purchased Arc Raiders and Resident evil, I love this game but I think it’s time to move on for now.
Personally I’ve found that tech-tree BMPTs are easier to kill through the driver’s port, and BMPT-72s are easier to kill via LFP. That’s just me though.
Most players aren’t on forums, and what I’ve seen those who are most times just want attention on themselves vs what’s really wrong with this game, on top of that win streaks like this shouldn’t even be possible this was just 10 games straight doesn’t even include the other games I olayed with russia. I can’t tell you how easy it is to play the BMPT correctly and steam roll with mediocre teammates who hold W. Either way, until this craps fixed I want my money back I’m never buying a year premium again.
