This is any game vs the Soviets at 11.3/7 right now. As you can see, a real competitive game…
Germany needs some 11.0/3/7 tanks. Something with DM33. You just get mulched by BMPT’s and 3BM60 slinging B3’s/ARENA’s. The B3 should never have moved down either, not with the combo of 3BM60 and the gun handling. Plus the ARENA should be 11.3, the T-90A gets away with being 11.0 due to the poor gun handling, but the ARENA doesn’t have this weakness.

So I looked into it and it seems that only the premium BMPT is immune to KH38 from the side. If you are flying the su30, I recommend only shooting KH38 on BMPT-72 from the back and front. Any shot to the side will lead to the targeting focus on the missile launchers. Not sure if this would count as a bug report but I’m too tired of the BMPT fatigue to write it.

We must remember the 2S38 at launch, which was a problem just like the BMPT, however, in this case, it’s bordering on impossible to kill these things in a match.
earlier today, I fired an M900 at a BMPT-72 and it absorbed the shot, however, a T-72AV or T-90 from the same BR would have been killed by that shot.
the reality is simple: gaijin is completely obsessed with turning everything of Russian manufacture into meta vehicles.
their management doesn’t realize that this is killing the desire of players who don’t seek to abuse the Russian TT.

I also found this game breaking bug that gives the premium BMPT 100% immunity to SAPHE or HE warheads from the sides. It’s like the damage model extends way beyond the sides of the tank or the tracks and barrels absorbs all the damage.

This thing is destroying 10.3 battles. It’s simply too strong for the BR and needs to go to 13.0. Or it needs to have its Relikt ERA nerfed. It’s ridiculous that Relikt provides 200mm of kinetic protection while no NATO tanks have that!

I’ve pretty much stopped playing anything above 9.7. I’m usually a bit of an optimist but my faith in Gaijin has really taken a hit after seeing the blatantly OP BMPT and Arena T-72 being released back to back. A display of extraordinary poor judgment and tonedeafness towards the community.

8.7 is the highest i go now. Used to be 9.0 but the chieftain 900 and mk10 are screwed over at 9.3 now.
Only Type 90s are worth playing against BMPTs since you can do a quick follow-up shot
The merkavas are also somewhat decent against BMPTs autocannons since they can’t be penned in a lot of places by the APDS even point blank to the sides and a good chunk of the rear somewhat
