BMPT/72 BR Topic

Is the BMPT autoloader feed even covered? Someone posted an internal SS somewhere and it looked like a banana clip with the walls removed, just exposed rounds laying on top of one another.

its the fire extinguisher bro XD

Tank commander sat with it in his lap, also always at the ready to reset the feed of “upper belt” destruction.

Other vehicles got it before BMPT entered development.

The conspiracy theory breaks apart.

It is not, and that fact is modeled in War Thunder.
Only this portion doesn’t result in ammo explosion:

Yes, this was alluded to here:

Besides the fact that’s a whataboutism…
This uses the older simplified damage model.
I’d suggest pushing for the ammo belt to be made detailed.
Perhaps finding information on the final portion heading into the gun as well.

I’m all for improving the detail of ammunition damage models for vehicles.

Does it? Freccia been in since what, 23? And they just magically decided days after fixing the “bugged” BMPT, that it deserves to also randomly have it.

???
I only said it 2 or 3 times, and i never claimed of it.
Also i said “iirc” cuz it has been a long time since i searched information about the BMPT back when i was looking for an excuse to force Gaijin to nerf it.

It was a fig leaf to give people something to point at.

What a sane company would do is this :

  • Fix the side era so it doesn’t defy physics. That stuff should not be stopping an apfsds round which hits it directly from a perfect angle.

  • correct the mistake of the turret ammunition detonating not turning the crew into paste.

  • make the guns reflect reality - fast firing but terribly inaccurate.

Make those changes, see what impact they have and then move it further up if the insanity continues.

It could stand to lose its ammo box as well.

I heard that the development team is still physically located within Russia. What manifests in the game might not be mere favoritism, but could it be directives coming from the Kremlin? You know, things over there are… in a rather special period.

When classic misdirection straight up fails.

“Oh I only said it was this way 2-3 times but that doesnt mean that I claimed it!!”

You quite literally just made up a reason for the barrels to shake …by again referring to something you made up (multiple times).

If you cant be sure about it, then maybe double check instead of spreading this nonesense over and over again? And maybe dont base your new assumptions/theories on the information you cannot refer to, nor prove?

Bro why are u raged? I never said it was true, just found some YT footage of a BMPT spreading bullets over a forest full of ukrainian soldiers and thought the reason was that.
If u don’t know what “iirc” means then just ask it, cuz u’re blaming me of something that is false.

Btw u’re a random, u can’t force me to do something if i don’t want to. Except of insulting me for “misinformating” then u could rather correct what i said while being gentle.

the barrel have the bad accuracy in game but not the gun woble thing.
most of the time against a moving target, gunner switch to slow rpm who is around the same as bradley.

its true they have 2 types of ammo being one HE other AP or APDS in combat mod. i read somewhere that after 1500m, they are not allowed to use the high rpm mode

“That has a reason, iirc.
The reason behind why the BMPT’s cannons wobble and shake so much is due to the recoil of both guns combined, and that’s why it’s not used against tanks, but infantry.”

You made this entire part up yourself with 0 evidence to prove it, based on something that you have claimed 2-3 times before (as per your own statement) and most certainly been told to be wrong prior.

The “iirc” before an entirely made up paragraph doesnt excuse this whatsoever and in any case, could and should’ve been worded much more clearly to portray that it is a theory you yourself came up with - based on something you recall being the case.

See? Much clearer wording than previously, regardless - what is the source for this?

whoops, same pfp, different name.

My bad.

To be fair - the design of the system is so terrible it does often look like both guns are firing. It’s just that bad a design.

i read a lot things so i dont have sadly, plus i cant share the info as its in the current conflict footage

Wow i didn’t know that being wrong was bad.
Did u know i’m human? It’s not ILLEGAL to do mistakes or be wrong sometimes.

Pls tell me what “iirc” means for u. If u wanna discuss and fight, nw i have all day for it.

If someone tells me that what i said was wrong and tells me how the thing “i misinformated” actually works, i say “thx for the correction” and stfu, something u probably don’t know how to do. At least for me and cuz this topic has +6000 replies and i literally just joined here cuz StonaWT moved an already made topic about the BMPT to here, i haven’t heard a single person explaining how do the BMPT’s cannons work till someone who was more gentle and has more manners than u explained me how it works in a calm way that didn’t include insults.

Sometimes the jokes write themselves

This person explained it better than u without insulting me in 3717493728279 different ways.

useless addition / suggestion tbh, your canon would over heat after 2 sec of firing, not to forget all your ammo will be gone
