BMPT/72 BR Topic

The blow-out fire comes from the centre of the vehicle btw, i.e. the main stowage.

The crew is literally getting cooked alive whenever the flame occurs.

25-76mm APFSDS all have the same damage-preset for spalling, this has nothing to do with the particular rod. Also, Jaguar uses the same gun and APFSDS round aswell.

I believe its an attempt at a ready rack maybe I dont know how the autoloader works but from my understanding of looking at the xray it looks like the two feeding belts are being fed from the autoloader which takes ammo from what is in the basket and maybe allowy you to select certain ammo to got somewhere? and by spaghetti code I mean that there may be some limitaitons perhaps like how certian things are classified in the DM model and the unit file?

I dunno maybe its jsut skill issue on my end then

I literally dumped 40 rounds into a 2S38 without it dying because it seems to be a dice roll whether its ammo actually explodes. Doesn’t seem right to me.

How you survive fire without surviving the ammo explotion before?
Cause and effect

They just have fireproof suits

It’s by far the best armoured IFV in the game, mate. Not even the Namers come close. What do you mean by ‘the only thing it has going for it’? It has two 30 mm cannons with a high ROF, as well as four beam-riding 800 mm penetration tandem charge ATGMs, which are certainly better than the slower and weaker TOW missiles that most other IFVs have at that BR range. It also has an ammo box to replenish its missiles, which Namer and Puma VJTF players have been asking for years. Quite a few other IFVs don’t even have ATGMs to begin with… It isn’t that slow either. In fact, it has a higher hp/t ratio and a higher top speed than the Namers. Only the reverse speed is worse.

You can even call it IFV? doesnt have passenger compartment.

no thats what you implied

Saying movility is king is an opinion. All these factors carry the same weight. Saying one is more important than the other is just plain wrong. And there’s no need to correct me on misnomers to try and make yourself look smart. Survivability is how well the tank survives period.

Puma could never, it’s relegated to being a support main

nah bro the only time this happened to me was when I played puma when it was 8.3

I 100% agree with this. I think the Abram’s have great potential. But let’s put in it practice. A team with a majority of low skill ceiling tanks allowing even under average or unskilled players to perform well vs a team with maybe 1 or 2 skilled players. In terms of actual gameplay, it provides an unfair advantage. We talk about how gaijin tries to balance the game and yet are left with this.

Quick question, where are ya’ll shooting this thing to kill it?
I had some people mention ammo, which worked one single time for me but every time i destroy it now, it just doesn’t do anything at all, sometimes it starts a fire but that doesn’t seem to prevent the other gun from shooting
LFP isn’t always an option, had a few bunch of matches where BMPT spam overruns our spawn and they just keep tanking shots

Go see how many people called the inferior T-80BVM OP compared to the superior T-90M.
Go see how well people are doing in the superior T-90M.

Like, in a direct cross analysis T-80BVM is inferior to T-90M.
But because of War Thunder’s over-performing mobility, T-80BVM performs as well and better than T-90M.
