No missile is effective enough to kill it. When they hit the turret, they simply don’t cause enough damage to take it down, or when they do cause damage, it’s back in combat within 30 seconds.
This vehicle should be at least 11.0 or 11.7! And I would 100% approve of it going to 12.0.
I haven’t used this vehicle’s ammunition, but it obliterates any other vehicle because its ammunition is absurd LOL, so let’s ignore it and its 10.3, which is fair because it has crappy aiming controls and works on long maps with elevation.
Main problem is armor. T-72b3 have 11.7, ± same armor and don’t bring any problems for it’s peers. Why bmpt should be higher then? I understand if it still shows exceptional effectiveness (which I very much doubt) and it will be increased again to 12.0. But 11.7 is the maximum that can be given to it without additional statistics gathering.
You need distance to be able effective, it’s more a problem to use it be Gaijin map design. Bonus : no elevation’s turret and the missile aim is… so yeah.
The Premium one (Im guessing based upon the name) Is based on the T-72B3, as it has 3 crew, not 5. Its not quite as oppressive as the TT version as it is far less likely to keep going after a crit hit. But should still be higher. 11.0/11.3 with no other changes. This still leaves it lower than the T-72B3 at 11.7. (debate to be had that on account of the autocanon, it has equal or better firepower to the T-72B3 and could even be 11.7)
The TT BMPT I beleive (again, please correct me if im wrong) is based upon the T-90M at 12.7. This BMPT is an absolute menace to deal with due to the increased crew count. This one should get buff(s) if appropriate and have its BR increased to 11.7/12.0+.
Both would remain exceptionally strong and continue to cause major issues interms of balance, but at least what they would be facing most often would actually have the appropriate kit to counter them. Also making them unique from each other helps quite a bit in adding a justification to purchase the premium version if you already have the TT version beyond having a backup.
Exactly. At 11.7 the T-72B3 doesnt cause any major issues for the tanks it faces. But would be just as oppresive as the BMPT is being if it shared the same BR. The shells needed for reliable countering are at 11.3+
There aren’t many maps where LOSAT shines. And on the ones it does if you see BMPT - good luck, it doesn’t care about supersonic telephone pole that should turn it inside out
then i tell you: it’s War thunder. We can start to count vehicles where there is the same problem.
Yes, and no. Missiles and composite armors, is something that WT has programmed in the worst possible way. That game are totally not ready for that. And you see that every day.
I also approve Leopard 2A7 and Strv 122B+ at 13.7, and paper Abrams family at 10.7 :D
Fun fact. It’s happens 5 minutes ago - APFSDS Sabot can kill BMPT xD
Getting ridicilous with the amount of nukes i’ve been seeing lately from people that’s bringing BMPT, BMPT-72 and 2S38, you’d think Gaijin would start noticing a pattern at some point
thats the issue sadly, they dont care otherwise the BMPT never would have been added. This also happened when Spall Liners got introduced only on the T90M and Gaijin quickly had to struggle to add it too other tanks because people rightfully lost there marbles.
I said it someone else before and I WILL say it here. Gaijin with there recent changes to balance and premiums will eventually hit a point where in about 1-2 years when those new players get to top tier in other nations will begin to experience the balance issues that plague the game and have done for years and the voices will just get bigger and bigger if left untouched.
Gaijin are simply there own downfall because no competitor exists, you know who else went down that same hole (wargaming) and look how WoT and WoWs has simply killed its self.
