I mean what else is there at 11.7 that could be better? T-72B3 is worse, sure 3BM60 and the add on package is nice but 7.0 flat reload and 4.2km/h reverse suck. The Challenger 2s are a 4 stack of jokes even with the HP buff. Sure the Type 90s and TKX(P) are good but since the trunnion was added it makes fighting T tanks much harder unless they are clueless and drive in front of you. Al Khalid although good, doesn’t have what the U has. M1A1 is nice. I’d say it’s about all there is at 11.7 that’s better than the U. I mean the Ariete is good but it’s an Ariete. So only two, if not just one tank at 11.7 is better than the U.
There will always be people who go out hunting people who abuse an overpowered tank because generally those people aren’t the most skilled. And it makes it most satisfying when you own people who are playing something over powered. If I wasn’t fighting BMPTs, these 13 kill to 2 death games would be straight 13-0/+13-1 but not even I can beat something when it’s armor and ERA is fart past what my M774 is supposed to be fighting.
Yes,i am not happy with the BMPT.It tanks so much and it kill so easily while other IFV which are worse than it are at higher BR
Namer:11.3 it is a joke with missiles and ammo compared to this
Ajax:10.3
PUMA VJTF:11.0
This vehicles has nowhere near performance as BMPT
M1A1 and Type 90s have a much higher skill ceiling than the T-80U. So facing these tanks when played by good players will always be more scary than facing the T-80U played by similarly skilled players.
Also I personally prefer playing the Chally 2 over the T-80U, but that is more playstyle based than it’s vehicle performance based.
It’s simply very difficult to play against a nation that has tanks that are extremely difficult to penetrate. And the BMPT Terminator was simply the finishing touch.
Most of the Russian high/top tier tanks were not overly hard to kill, they were mostly just skill check vehicles to differentiate between the decent and mediocre playing.
It’s only the BMPT that is now very problematic, before that most russian high tier MBTs for the last 2 years were just average.
Yes, of course. Tanks with broken multilayer armor, damage to which is determined by the coin toss method. Soviet tanks are the only ones with a 180-degree turret protection, 300+ mm of side armor, and complete shrapnel protection. They have the strongest gun mantlet, and spall protection throughout the entire tank.
I consistently one shot the soviet MBTs when I hit their common one shot kill spots. So that loops straight around to the skill check part of my post.
decent players will absolutely farm them while worse players will struggle against them and call their armor op.
Also to make it clear to other people just in case, I’m specifically talking about the high tier Russian MBTs here. The BMPT is a slightly different story.
Which is easier to kill? A tank without armor or a tank with complex, multi-layered armor that has very small vulnerable spots that you have to hit on the move from 500 meters away. And don’t forget that a Soviet tank will be moving and traversing its turret, and you’ll be aiming for vulnerable spots that are very small.
This answer will probably trigger you, but after all this time I barely notice a difference anymore between most of the tanks I’m fighting. That is both a blessing and a curse.
