The ERA on this thing either does completely nothing, or absorbs M829A2 like it’s nothing. My first ever encounter with a BMPT was it eating M900 from my Striker right in the spot you shot and it did nothing (about a month back).
It’s just too inconsistent with its ER and volumetric. It survives shots it absolutely should not on the regular. If it consistently died form the same shots (and could actually have its ability to fire disabled), I would have less problems with it.
Am I the one not seeing the bigger picture or is it you by only considering my latest posts?
I’ve simply mentioned how some of the clips that I’ve seen were bad aim. Not all of them. I’ve voiced my concerns over things that I believe are currently double-standards, such as the separated belts which IMO would make the tank miles easier to kill.
I wouldn’t get so surprised about the engagement of mods or devs in a thread if the first thing that you rely upon is to threaten them to witch hunt them in-game, only because you have a different opinion.
I’ll answer to you as the previous posts of @Rzi4628-live and @ICrayonEatr-live are similar.
Quick edit note: I thank you 3 for being kind or at least decent in your replies, as this is the way to properly discuss a topic.
Yes, I know it’s not always a kill. However, it has gotten a lot more consistent with the BR bump to 11.7.
I already pointed out how horrible it was to play 2A4s and other 10.7 against this thing (not a full BR up, therefore you could find entire teams of BMPTs, nowadays at most 4).
The ERA consistency is not something related to the BMPT though?
The problem is connected to Russian ERA in general. I’ve shot countless times at 90Ms and BVMs on their side at 90 degs. Even though it’s consistently a kill, (we should define what “consistent” means. To me, 70 to 80% of my shots killing is consistent) there have been cases of the shot being completely eaten. It’s frustrating and annoying, I agree. But that’s how War Thunder works as of now. Volumetric just goes hand in hand with detailed modules/ERA and not every vehicle has as many internal components as these.
It’s definitely a strong tank, which can find itself in positions that are somewhat oppressive. I’ve stated this countless times by now and it feels like I’m repeating myself.
The reason why I’ve started showing clips was connected to users calling the bump in BR “Totally ineffective”, which is not true. Killing the BMPT has gotten a lot more consistent compared to when it was released. That statement doesn’t mean it’s perfectly fine now.
On a final note… Please take clips in-game. The hit analyzer is consistently mismatched compared to the actual shots, therefore it’s best to either take clips while you’re playing or watching the server replay to do so.
So is telling other forum members they’re clueless. Using an emoji
Like this lol.
It’s literally only you saying these things , everyone who has used this or come up against it has said the same things.
I know how to kill the BMPT and how to get it easy enough, that doesn’t suddenly make everything else that’s been brought up irrelevant. Or make anyone clueless.
the bump in BR hasn’t really dropped it’s stats by much, it’s easier to kill as you also have the best munitions in the game and BR.
The clueless is literally referring to my own statement, but I digress.
@MiGoon_Fox-3 Has agreed with me and has similar ideas to mine. We both agree the tank is strong and has clear bias in certain cases, but that the situation is much less severe compared to the 10.7 days.
On tools such as SS, since we don’t have any official stats coming out, the drop in statistics for the BMPTs is clearly there.
The BR changes from 10.7 to 11.3 is what hit the BMPT-72 the most, going from a release Kill per Death of 1.7 to 1.4 and then 1.2 the next month.
The TT BMPT has also seen a major drop in stats, going from a release stat of 2.3 to 1.5 nowadays.
The winrate is indeed too high. On this btw, the entire Russian TT has massively higher winrate compared to other nations from 10.7 to max BR, it’s not just the BMPT.
I really don’t get why you guys think that I’m “protecting” this tank or something. I literally said that I don’t like plenty of double-standards it has.
10.7 can only see up to 4 BMPTs in each match. I would argue those are not the reason why the games are lost. T-80UDs are more annoying there. Also the Obj. 292 is disgustingly strong.
Namers are ridiculously mid. I wish they could be better as I love playing Israel. At least the Trophy APS nowadays works on Merkavas, not sure on the newest light tank since I still don’t have it.
