If they’re not going to bother fixing the BMPT/72.
I rather they take all of 12.7 GRB with the BMPT/72 and any CAS (Plane and Helicopter) that’s GRB 12.7+ and move them all up to a new BR 13.3 then anyone who wants to play the BMPT can go play BR 13.3 cause there is nothing special about most nations for me after BR 12 except Russian getting the most decked out SPAAs and AGM IR missiles along with the BMPT and I don’t even believe in Russian bias.
Close the thread, and I’ll then move on to complaining about the weak spaas every nation has compared to Russia on the SM-SV thread.
RIP Germany, suffering from success. I don’t think getting the LEO for Germany is worth it with almost every minor nation in war thunder getting better variants which is insane, since Russia still has the best variants of their T-80s.
It’s not worth it either.
I like them, ans thr 2a4m combo with the PSO and a6 has been fum but super meh.
Its pretty tedious using a leopard., fighting leopards.
It also takes from them the uniqueness of the longer caliber cannon DM53.
Can imagine it does, the sad thing is about the BMPT and 72, is the fact that so many idiots have grabbed it, and they will maintain maybe a 1.0 - 1.8 kd with it…
Meaning gaijin will look at it and say its fine and balanced where it is.
Like the sheer volume of these buggers floating around matches is extremely high, i think the highest ive seen for a tank in WT.
The only saving grace is its really hard to play it badly which means it will get nerfed or sich again i hope.
The BMPT in is one of the most frustrating and poorly balanced vehicles currently in the game. Its combination of survivability, autocannons, missiles, and overall versatility makes it far too effective compared to other vehicles at its BR.
What makes this even worse is Gaijin’s lack of logical balancing decisions regarding the BMPT. Despite constant complaints from the community, the vehicle continues to dominate matches with little to no meaningful adjustments. It honestly feels like Gaijin either ignores feedback or does not properly test how oppressive the BMPT is in actual gameplay.
The autocannons are especially ridiculous. They can endlessly spam shells that destroy barrels, tracks, optics, helicopters, and light vehicles within seconds. Even heavily armored tanks can barely react before losing critical components. Combined with fast ATGMs and excellent survivability, the BMPT has almost no weaknesses in many combat situations.
Another issue is how forgiving the vehicle is. A normal tank can become useless after losing one crew member or a critical module, while the BMPT can often survive multiple hits and still fight effectively. This creates an unfair gameplay experience where other vehicles are punished much harder for mistakes.
Gaijin also seems inconsistent with balancing standards. Other vehicles get nerfed quickly when they overperform, yet the BMPT remains extremely powerful for long periods of time. This gives players the impression that balance decisions are arbitrary rather than based on actual game health or statistics.
Instead of encouraging tactical gameplay, the BMPT promotes brainless autocannon spam and passive gameplay behind cover. It lowers the overall quality of top-tier battles and makes matches feel more frustrating than enjoyable.
The BMPT seriously needs balancing changes such as:
Higher BR placement
Reduced autocannon damage or fire rate
Worse survivability
Longer ATGM reloads
More realistic weak spots
At the moment, the BMPT feels less like a balanced vehicle and more like a premium power fantasy that Gaijin refuses to properly address.
Another nerf they should do is limit the reload of missiles in a single spawn at 8 missiles: you either go 4 from the box and 4 from any cap,or you go 8 on 2 boxes or twice in the same cap (or two different times in two different caps)
The enemy team needs two BMPTs with the hull covered inside a cap and they’ll almost surely win
We just maintain a clean Forum by keeping all BMPT related info in a single thread. As you can see, we merged his original post into this one. Nothing was lost or deleted.
So instead of actually fixing anything, you silence people and throw them into a singular thread just to tell daddy Gaijin, “see, nothing is wrong, we only have one active thread about the BMPT!”
I do not speak for the devs. Cannot help you with that.
How is it silencing if we’re keeping the thread and its posts up? The feedback is here and we’re maintaining it available. If anything, having a single thread can help more than spamming smaller ones.
To reiterate, we’re moderators. We’re here to keep the Forum a civil place. You won’t get any answer from us game wise as we do not have it in the first place.
They are merging threads so forum doesnt turn into

Has nothing to do with ignoring, they do it just to keep forum clean. Its thing for many other threads, not just this one.
