BMPT/72 BR Topic (Part 1)

Exactly, that’s the complaint so far from multiple people on this forum. It’s getting nerfed to 11.7 but it genuinely needs rework for the unglody survivability.

When analysing vehicle statistics, its best that sll players statistics should be bracketed for their average win rate/Kill Death ratio and then compared to their relative performance in a particular vehicle.

So if Player A has an average K/D of 2.1, but in the BMPT they get a kill/Death of 5.1, then the BMPT would be overperforming.

Its easier to do for win rate.
You check all the players win rates, and compare the players average win rate, and their win rate in the BMPT.

Average win rate should be 49%, so of all the players who have a win rate of 49%, what is their win rate in the BMPT.

Win rate however is not a good metric for a game that can allow multiple spawns of different vehicles. As the win rate is determined by the performance of the whole lineup, not just one vehicle.

This way of viewing vehicle performance also shows how good the vehicle is for less skilled players. Usually, a slower better armoured tank performs well for weak players, but not as a good for very good players, with some exceptions.

Only recent playtime should be used as well, because balance evolves dramatically over time. A particular vehicle might have been very OP and gotten a lot of playtime, but is now very balanced, such as the Harrier GR1 and Hunter F6. Both were at one point very broken, now both are very weak since the missiles were neefed, flares introduced, and better missiles added.

Its a great metric for Air RB, as you only get a single spawn in a single aircraft, and you can compare both average winrate and average kills of the player vs the vehicle.

I’ve never changed my position.
It was moved to 11.3/11.7, which means my previous argument was fulfilled.
A new one needs to be made for 12.0, which it has:

Don’t be sad … You must accept that game is by Russian patriots developed

Thanks for admitting you think the BMPT is not op.

@REO_Speedwagon
Well you can keep thinking BMPT isn’t OP all you want, cause those are your words in your post, not mine.
My post says it and other 11.7s are too powerful to go against 10.7s.

So you switch up again. Thanks for proving me right once more.

10.0 Germany is where it’s at right now/ Avoids that crap completely while still having a fantastic lineup.

Still shouldn’t have to avoid using Leo 2a4 and PT-16 just because 1 tank ruins an entire br bracket but Gaijin doesn’t really seem to care.

I hate the idea of using statistics to go off of BR changes.

I don’t know if yall were around when the CL-13 MK4 incident occurred, but incase you were I’ll summarize it.

Basically, the CL-13 MK4 was one of the less played jets in the game (basically a higher BR worse F-86A) and a 4 man squad set out to test how bad Gaijin’s statistics usage was. They all got 4+ kd’s in it by playing as a squad and got it into the BR changes to be raised to 9.0. Gaijin caught wind of it and reverted the change, of course but it goes to show statistics aren’t effective, especially when it comes to premium vehicles.

While yeah, you can take into consideration the other player’s vehicles and stats, that doesn’t really work either, especially analyzing hundreds of other aircraft the user has played vs just 1.

They really need to just go off plane performance or tank performance. For example, it is clear that the BMPT is a mess right now with being virtually unkillable to most tanks below 11.3 right now. So, raise its BR. It’s clear that the Spitfire Mk. 24 should not be fighting Mig-15’s. Keep its BR the same and don’t raise it to where it can fight those things.

It’s a very fine line of balancing to walk, but it’ll make balancing aircraft and tanks easier.

(Or just, ya know, decompress BR’s too. That would help…)

Can anyone explain what happened here? This eventually lead to my death as it ended up just flanking me lol

(maybe its an L26 thing because both the T-72 and Vilkas didnt die either)

What probably happened is that the damage model for the BMPT is so incredibly bad that the same shot that will go through and nuke it one time will do nothing the next time.

Unfortunately just the way the ball rolls right now :/

I get people say “just shoot the LFP” if you’re facing it but all they have to do is hide it. With regular MBTs, the turret ring and breech are always fallback options, but the BMPT doesn’t really have those weakpoints. Also to note, due to how Relikt works, I’ve had multiple occasions in my M1 where M774 is completely eaten on the side ERA due to the deflection caused (might just be my luck tbh). I’m happy to see it go to 11.7, but it shouldn’t be able to see anything from the 10.0 bracket at all.

somebody expain me this shot why no damaged the bmpt breach? because afther this shor bmpt anhilated me with fk 30mm gun… this completly fine…

Because the turret damage model is hot garbage

yeah and this no need a hotfix?

Ofc it does but that would make russia worse so we cant have that

There was a clip of BMPT taking hit like yours and it destroyed a T series BEHIND it. Zero damage to BMPT but it managed to destroy a tank after dart went straight through the bmpt

Still broken and toxic

Nothing is incorrect in that video showcasing a round going through a fuel tank.
Fuel tanks correctly do not spall when damaged in War Thunder, and rounds do not fragment either.
Whether rounds are supposed to fragment or not will be for someone else to answer with any information they have on the matter.

The fact that the round dodged everything else after the fuel tank is a small miracle.

@ICrayonEatr-live
Not BMPT related. Fuel tanks are universal.
