Yeah, they really did the engine dirty. I know it had cooling problems but they really made it as bad as it can get, with the awful speed and lightning fast overheating at wep. Objectively, the CR 714 has the same armament and has better low altitude speed, acceleration, energy retention and agility. All of that at 1.3. Only thing it has going for it is the tankiness above what you can find at this br, even if it isn’t that useful. Clearly not 1.7 material.

its hard enough finding interesting domestic airframes to fill the tree with, but gajin just HAS to make it even more difficult?

There are plenty of domestic airframes that could be added still. France could easily be a 5 column air tech tree without Benelux. It just hasn’t been a priority for Gaijin. I hope they reconsider. To name a few:

You can add to that the Caudron 760 (quite close to the 770 performance wise), the Dewoitine 551-2-3-4, from the first one and its 5 MGs to the “ideal” one with 1 x 20mm and 6 x 7.5mm. The Fouga 90 can be a thing as well… Beyond that, yes, that’s quite a good list.

yeah, i know, there’s also the Baroudeur which i’d love to see in the TT because it has a rocket-sled takeoff kinda like a Komet, but knowing gaijin, they’d probably add that as a FOMO event/premium, instead of letting us just enjoy cool aircraft designs in the TT

My mistake then. I never tried that event and therefore the plane doesn’t appear for me. And you can’t even buy it for gaijin coins either. Basically, one of the common planes from WWII is so rare that it isn’t even visible.
Well yes. The fact that both these mass produced variants have been event vehicles is borderline insulting, but hey. If it cannot bring in at least a bit of money, it’s not worth adding, obviously.
