Bf 109 C-1: The Caesar Variant

Always love to see new WW2 prop fighters in the game, please more! :)

Nice to see another one! Hope to see the naval variant at some point that or gaijin brings the twin 109 back again so I can get it this time around

I hope Gaijin goes back and fills out the tech trees from ranks 1-6, especially where there are BR gaps or thin lineups. This is great news.

Adding to this, it would be amazing to see dozens of unlockable/grindable skins added for rank 1-6 aircraft. We have hundreds of planes with literally tens of thousands of liveries that could be added and all we continue to see is stuff for top tier when a new vehicle releases.

A third of the game’s players are on console with no access to the marketplace.

I had fun with BF-109E1, and i know i will have more with that one ^^"
Only sad that i will have to sealclub ^^"

Source?

Nice. I really enjoy using the B-1, but I try to not to fly it too often because it feels very unfair against new players, or even fairly experienced players in biplanes, which is 90% of what you fight. Especially since the real low-tier reaper, the He-100, is always on your team. Hopefully the C-1 has the same surprisingly nimble low-speed handling as the B-1.

Purely anecdotal.

Speaking specifically to air, on average I see at least 25% of a given lobby on console. Higher at lower tiers (I see a lot of PlayStation only AAB matches around 3.0) and slightly lower at higher tiers.

At any rate I would be shocked if at least a
1/4th of players were not on console. Walling off a quarter or more of a game’s player base from access to vehicle liveries is certainly a choice.

Try the E4 if you still haven’t.

I did, still prefers the E1 ^^"

A lot of Console players account have also been resetted as PC players account at somepoint, yet keeping the same ID,… so i need more impervious source than a feeling based on in-game average encounter ^^"

You need a better source for what? To formulate an argument against Gaijin NOT making more grindable skins/liveries available for Rank 1-6 aircraft because the amount of console players is less than a third of the players? A quarter? What % of console players as the a percentage of the player base would make you feel better about your day?

Don’t be that guy on the Internet mate, no one likes that guy.

Because you brings numbers out of your hat,… and when people do that, they’re mostly wrong by a wide margin.

I’m not refuting anything in your argument but the number of players from console,…

And don’t be that internet magician, that gives numbers out of nowhere, because people don’t like those either.

Again, these numbers are based on my observations. What you’re doing is akin to asking to see a thermometer because I said it feels like it’s about 70 degrees…for the purpose of being the Forum arbiter of…something?

But…now that you brought it up, I was actually rather curious, so here are the lobbies from my last 3.3 AAB matches from last night. 68 of the 154 (44%) players are on console.

Spoiler

A majority of these console players are under level 20/30—so the notion that they have ‘transferred to PC’ is a nonstarter. I would also argue that on a macro scale, the number of console downloads/installs exceed console to PC account transfers.

Here are my last 5 ARB matches of the night. I believe these are all around 8.0/8.7 ish, although I might have had a bad 7.0 game in there as well. (It all blurs together before bed)

Spoiler

33 of 154 (21%) of players on console. As expected, a lower % due presumably it being both a higher BR as well as ARB. I imagine the % might be lower beyond 9.0 (although 10.3 might see a spike!) and then higher, almost similar to the above AAB numbers for 1.0 – 3.0.

the Bf109-E4 is heavier, and despite having a slightly better engines, it takes off on longer range - less acceleration at low speed compared to E1.

the max speed isn’t that upgraded either +10kmh of differences.

20mm are fun on E-3 and E-4, but hey - Bf109-E-1 uses 4 Mg’s of 7.92mm at 2.3 BR and not 3.0BR.

the one that could be real fun since Bf109 E1 got from 1.7 BR to 2.3BR is the Bf109 E3 and it’s 2.3 BR.

but i’m intersted to see how will perform the Bf109-C :)

The Tail Wheel animation is not working.

It feels like the C-1 takes the worst aspects of the B-1 and E-1. It has worse maneuverability than B-1, and worse climb/speed than E-1. I was hoping for the opposite, where it would take the B-1’s maneuverability and combine it with better climb and speed.

It’s basically a heavier B-1 with a slightly more powerful engine.

And twice as armed ^^"

I did 7 games, score 24 kills for 2 deaths and only 1 defeat ^^"

But i like Playing BF-109E1 so it doesn’t changed me much.

1 thing though–> Bf-109E1 have 4000 rounds, while the C1 only got 1800+ ammo.

This is limiting flight performance wise (mostly about rate of climb), but still is pretty good.
