They have good reverse in compare than russia, thats why I said chinese trade armor for better mobility.
pl12 it was basically a mica but with a different name it does the same things the micas do with that being said
about that, its not true. PL-12 is like a better aim120 at close range imo
Pl12 and derby are good for close range (10km max), aim120 not that good but at least has better range. And well MICA its the point in between.
MICA also has a better seaker and 50G. he is on the podium with 77-1
But less range than aim120. Thats why I said point in between

Do NOT go for anything Chinese unless you are really determined to grind it out and play it for a long time, Gaijin is notorious for sneaking in nerfs for Chinese vehicles in patches and ignoring bugs in the Chinese stuff, especially stuff in the higher BRs

honestly if you plan on playing toptier alot, then go with japan air and ground
sure japan doesnt have amazing armor but the 4 second reloads are nasty, especially now that youll have access to kh38s for cas aswell as american ordinance at slightly lower brs with the f16s, f18s, a7, etc
I main Germany and China Ground and i don’t think Chinas MBTs are any good at all.
The Mobility is great yeah but the APFSDS is among the weakest in pen together with soviet only ~570mm compared to western countries all have above 600mm pen darts afaik and the armour of Chinas MBTs is only good at the UFP and turret but they have a massive LFP and large one hit weakspots around the front and everywhere else their mbts arent armoured at all while others have either got ERA coverage, spall liners and or more armour overall there.
gun depression is non existent, reload is the worst with 7.1 secs for all their MBTs and you only get three MBTs with the ZTZ99A, WZ1001 and VT4A1 well and M1A2T now which is finally an actually good MBT for China TT. But compare to France they have alone in MBTs six and the VT4A1 is 1:1 just the VT4 with APS and the VT4 is already bad at 12.3 and would still be at 12BR and yet it sits at 12.7BR ; all of Chinas TT MBTs are basically just like the early ZTZ99s at 11BR but with better Mobility and yeah basically also more Armour but also…not really.
and you cant rly make use of the good mobility, the reverse is definitely helpful but you cant use it like with japans type 10/X or IFVs to quickly reach advantageous spots, flank and so on because of the -5 gun depression you cant make use of many great spots or you have to expose yourself much more and due to the long reload you will often miss opportunities to shot someone, lose 1v1 standoffs etc.
chinas mbts are just the worst in everything except for mobility lol they are basically just like 11BR MBTs with better mobility and good front armour which only helps against noobs who dont know the many large weakspots you have around the front with chinas mbts and their LFP is also larger than that of soviet mbts
They rotate the top tier meta so i wouldnt put too much focus on it.
Japan has a great and quick tech tree.

10.7 agm (kh29t can be found on su25bm) carriers and leclercs (aced abrams with 5s cd exists at 10.7, 11.3, 11.7 etc) / worse leopards (2a7/2a7hu/strv122 exist)
Forgot to mention chinese mbts with worst toptier reload, terrible survivability and soviet gun depression. You will have to work with that to get 4 kh29t. While soviets and japan get 6 kh38mt. And others get ir bombs / ir mavs.
If you want something future proof maybe go for Japan
