So you really don’t have any favourite at all!! 🤣

P-38 will be my all time favorite, but the Narval is a close second.

What does it mean to be “best looking”? Such a simple criteria is far too vague to have a single answer. So we shall instead look at categories:

Pure Elegance: an elegant aircraft of a more civilized age, epitomizing the noble idea of the airman.

Unsurprisingly, the winner is… the Spitfire Mk IXc!

Functional Austerity: a simple no-frills aircraft that gets the job done and looks good while doing so.

The winner is… the P-51D-30!

Brutal Power: an aircraft designed for raw, overwhelming power, and it shows.

The winner is… the Do-335B!

Form from Function: endline superprops, pushing the limits of the technology of the time and looking stunning too.

This category has a tie- the Ki-84 and Tempest II!

Twin-Engine Excellence: for those twin-engine wonders.

The winner is… the Ki-83!

Biplane Beauty: aircraft where two wings are better than one... or four is better than two? You get it.

The winner comes easily- the CR.42!
image

Strategic Special: for heavy bombers with massive ranges and payloads.

Another tie… the rugged B-24 and magnificent Lincoln!

Strange but Good: some aircraft have a very unconventional design, but are appealing nonetheless.

The winner is my beloved, the P-38L!
image

Outdated Oldie: a category for outdated aircraft that long outlived any expectations.

The winner is… the Hurricane!

Iconic at a Glance: an aircraft that can be instantly identified by even a moment's view of its silhouette.

Unsurprisingly, the winner is… the Ju 87G!

Multirole Masterpiece: an aircraft with plenty of ordinance, that looks good whatever it is carrying.

The winner is… the Bf 110G-2!

Flying Boat: it's a boat, it's a plane, it's... yeah, a boat and a plane. Pretty simple.

The winner is… the H8K!
image

Pretty Prototype: might not have been produced but damn did it look good.

The winner is… the Ta 154!

Ugly Duckling: objectively hideous but we still love it.

The winners are… the Ta-152H and Wyvern!

And finally, my overall pick...

The Fw 190A!

I honestly quite like the look of the firecrest

Absolutely not,for me they all look gorgeous with their unique looks/aesthetics

You can ask me my favourite turboprop plane or my favourite jet plane and i would give you a list instead of a single favourite, same thing applies for any tank/combat vehicle

P-61

I can’t wait to see “The People’s Mosquito” to get finished and start showing at air shows

XB-19 heavy bomber.

If I had to pick my most favourite looking propeller driven aircraft in-game then it’d be the YaK-3T for me, I love bringing it out with it’s powerful 37mm and how sleek the aircraft looks makes it for some nice eye candy.

The German BF-109s are also one of my most favourite looking propeller aircraft in general as well, including the early Spitfires.
