There’s already a premium Jagdpanther. What’s the point if you don’t take the opportunity and make it unique?
I used to actually defend the WarThunder battlepass in the first few seasons, as, at the time, it was really good value overall. Recently, though, it’s just sad.
I don’t think it’s worthless in the sense that lineup depth is always welcome in GRB. We can already field lineups with a million Tiger 1s or a million IS-2s for example.
But I still share your sentiment, it is weird. 6.3 already had three casemates prior to this: two Jagdpanthers, one of which a premium, and the JPz 4-5. It’s also overshadowed a lot by 6.7 as a lineup.
Technically seen I cannot complain about a FOMO vehicle being copypaste, because this way, nothing unique gets locked behind the marketplace, which would be terrible for newer players.
It’s just… A weird vehicle to choose to copy paste, not gonna lie. I really thought it was gonna be the Jagdtiger with the Sla engine, purely because I don’t understand why you would put sales of this BP in basically direct competition with sales of the Bfw Jagdpanther. I am sure they had their reasons and it made sense to them.
Still a bit disappointed ngl.
WW2 designs are understandably added less frequently than in the past with the focus being top tier, so this feels like a missed opportunity to drop some long awaited content instead of a third Jagdpanther.

I got to level 130 of the previous BP, so I’ll get this Jagdpanther and add it to my 6.3 lineup.
Can buy the same jagdpanther for 6k GE but no lets put the EXACT same one in the battlepass, put a net on it and call it “different”.
Yeah, just as I thought, this BP is trash, just like so many before it. It keeps getting worse and worse.

If we deal with copy-paste, why not give us copy of something rare, that is already in-game and hidden beyond the gajinstore paywall or forgotten by veterans having these for years and not even appreciating them unless they’re OP or under-BRed.
It’s locked forever content for most of us.
You spent money and time designing and introducing these to the game. Why not open up a little?
Pin-ups (with sensitive parts covered up) are a thing in the game since 2012, and last time I checked, it does not have 13+ rating anymore. It currently has 16+ rating according to the official War Thunder website.

I’m happy that a German WW2 vehicle is in the BP, and it’s not something so unique that putting it behind a paywall would be a shame. However, it doesn’t really seem to offer much to anyone who doesn’t specifically like the Jagdpanther, especially with the Bfw Jagdpanther G1 available as a premium option for the same vehicle already, without the grind.
I will get this BP and grind it for the Jagdpanther G2, because I really like the Jagdpanther and won’t say no to a third one in my 6.3 lineup (especially a second premium one). The camo net is really nice!
To eb completely honest, I wouldn’t mind that much if we were to see more like this where it’s not that unique so tech tree/free event vehciles arent missing out, but has a cool feature like a camo net or is a slightly different production standard (Porsche jagdtiger with the different suspension as an example), but would expect to see BP going back to 3-4 vehicles if that were the case.
After your community post teased it was going to be a coastal boat and a TD both from Germany the community was excited brainstorming what cool vehicles it could be.
A jagdtiger with the 88? The Stug IV? A StuG 3 with concrete armor? Another PaK-40 or 88 put on some random chassis late in the war?
Nope. You somehow took the easiest vehicle class and nation combo to get people to buy the BP and made it so people dont want to buy it. How do you mess this up so bad? Not just is it a TD we already have in game. But a TD we already have as a premium in game!
Instead of buying the BP and grinding this put you can just get the current premium Jagdpanther for 3045 GE during the anniversary sales.
Then theres the boat. You had a chance to do something cool with germany coastal. One of the ww2 german minesweepers that dont get enough love? Or how about another FlaK barge being theyre uniquely german? Maybe an east german fast attack boat to diversify the tree?
Nope the S-709. Its a good thing we didnt already have an S-Boot from this class already in a previous BP right? Oh yeah we did with the S-701! So guess we dont do original or unique with the BP anymore.

Buddy, in a game that started as a ww2 aircraft game, this is tame compared to other ww2 pin-ups found on aircraft.
Of all the things with the BP or game to complain about, this aint it.
I think it’s time you guys stop making Battle Passes and put those resources (if making these take any effort at all) to some better use
If you insist on putting copy-paste vehicles in the pass the bare minimum would be making a visually distinct style for it. Heavily damaged, tools, sandbags, barbed wire, etc. all over the tank and with a custom hand made camo. But no, you just slap a camo net on it (and some optics) and call it a day
It really should. But gaijin will probably make it a premium or event vehicle because of how asked for it is.
Thats literally copy paste of existing Premium/TT vehicle. Now even BP doesn’t offer anything interresting.
