If you’re in any way interested, here’s the list of possible Greek/Cyprus ground vehicles I’ve made so far (some may be wrong, other could be missing):
Anyway, as noted above gaijin won’t allow a tree to have any more than 7 columns in total, presumably 5 researchable and 2 side section max. It’s just a depiction so I get it (a project of my own exceeds the 3 row rule), but something to keep in mind.
Another thing is that the 105mm 2A4 will likely be the same BR as the regular, Id be a marginal difference in firepower and gaijin will likely give it a 5s reload rate. The ASPIS should also be much higher as it’ll likely get DM63.
Lastly if I’m not mistaken, its the Osa-AKM, not AK, Potato potato but still. Either that, or they have both variants, conflicting sources but when I looked into it the AKM is what I settled on.
At the end of day, Gaijin can get around this entire issue of ‘Battlepass is terrible. Give Unique stuff’ vs ‘Events should have copy paste so no FOMO’ by implementing a means for players to fairly access older content, just that the BP/Event is the easiest/ cheapest way of getting the reward.
Do what Helldivers 2 does and let all the BPs/Events be grindable permanently? Just charge a price at the gate and increase the grind requirements slightly
Rerun events X-Years after it originally happened
Re-add the content to the game permanently after X-Years.
Idk. I feel like me and the community have given Gaijin infinite-number of outs and solutions over the years but this happens time and time again
Ingame the towed radars on the SLAMRAAM shouldn’t be used operationally unless stationary, gaijin decided to ignore this, meaning this system should be on the table yes. Only thing we don’t have a precedent for is a towed launcher.
Event re-runs or Helldivers style Battlepasses would go against Gaijins reliance on FOMO
Even the Previous Vehicles trophy is weirdly generous from Gaijin and they seem to actively avoid putting interesting vehicles into those
They don’t put old event vehicles into the Warbond shop either
The SL boxes are cool and all, but they suck as a way to get old event vehicles, especially since they can give you duplicates
The recycling system could be reworked into a crafting system that would allow people to craft old vehicles, but I doubt they would introduce something like that
I’m not going to lie, I’m willing to pay actual money for old event vehicles and frequently use the market, but a lot of vehicles aren’t available on there and of the ones that are on there, a lot of them are waaaaaay too expensive
With all the due respect, “We have eyes everywhere”, apart from sounding a bit creepy :D I have some doubts about that. Or you’re all blind or you just don’t want to see. When the biggest part of your community asks for something that is not unreasonable, probably you should listen (just a bit, uh).
It’s a bad marketing move too, if I’m allowed to say, a more attractive bp brings more players grinding it.
That’s a shame because I bet you had way better options.
I got that, I understand that they cannot please everyone and I’m fine with that. Every player wants something different, you cannot listen to all of them. BUT when complaints are always the same, well probably it’s because they’re doing something wrong.
i don’t thing so, we have the ELDE too, i don’t remember the ITO-90 in game if it can fire in the move but it wont be a big problem, so i thing they can easily add it and Israel needs SPAA from 9.3 to 12.7
Yeah never got into their SPHs much, hence the lack of M109 research which I’ll get to someday (Not that It’d ever be added outside of maybe skins). Noted, and will look into sometime this summer, think I saw your post on it in the Greek grounds suggestion thread lol
It’s on the way, which is why I have it there. If added it could act as a skin. Regardless if there’s a vehicle they used I’m going to mention it if they used it, regardless of what Israel has or could get. That’s the point of the list after all
New missile and system.
Different tank and quite different from 2A4s, not very comparable. All the base 2A4s sit at 10.7 right now. If the 105mm one was added, it would be 10.7 as well.
Not towed, one singular system (and gaijin still has it done rather poorly right now).
Again, it operating on the move irl is all I was talking about. Gaijin doesn’t care if something can operate on the move irl. We have the SLAMRAAM which has a towed radar that functions on the move, something it didn’t do irl. The ITO the Greeks have is towed, not like the crotales we have ingame. The only thing I was getting it is that we don’t have towed launchers ingame. The 3rd person cameras on this vehicle would be weird since to move around you’d want the camera near the front, but the FCS would be in the back. Minor non-issue which is literally all I was going on.
I’m aware they’re similar, but they’re mildly different, hence them having different designations. They were called that in Greek service, and used in Greece, hence I have them listed here as such (the reason I had a question mark is because I was still lookin into if it had a stab or not, I verified that it did a bit ago but forgot to change br estimate). Greece had 1A3s, it’s the 1A4s which are up in the air if im not mistaken. If Greece used a vehicle it it’s going to be in my list.
It’s a leopard 2A6 with addon armor, it can’t go any lower than 12.0 at most. With modern 105mm rounds and a 5s reload it’ll get the job done. It’ll be a top tier jumbo. Not like I’m a dev so no point in talking about it anyway, it’ll get added when it’s added someday, we’ll see what happens.
Allegedly has target detection capabilities, either way I pulled that BR from its official suggestion so debate them not me. Just put it on a list with an estimated BR.
MOLF should only pertain to the 105 variant (also it should say A5 I think, I’ll need to double check its info). Regular A3 variant with your 90mm is mentioned earlier in the list.
Adding any number of countries could solve Israel’s difficulties in supplying vehicles prior to 1948/1949, Greece is a problematic choice as it eliminates options for Greece in future trees (Yugo, Balkan, Greco-Turkish). Israel could easily be supplemented by captured or subtree equipment from its regional neighbours, or just by adding the light vehicles it has been missing since introduction.
The Greek connection is tenuous and does not have significant historical or geographical justification.
