Hey guys. Haven’t been on the forums in a year. How’s it stinking?
I was looking at the Shar 2. Would the twin missile rails or wings be able to hold 2 AMRAAMs each? or 2x AMRAAMs with BOL? I doubt this would get added or have been done IRL but it is a weight thing I have wondered to see if it’s actually possible.
I remember that Indian pilots said that the Derbys on the 51 looked wrong and too heavy but Hawker airframes were famed for their high strength, so maybe it be done with 1x AIM-120 with BOL on a twin pylon
Decided to take the FA2 out into NE, to see if it was any fun in a defensive CAP role and well.
Compression is still compression, 99% of the players were Su-30 premiums on both teams
BOL is still BOL, totally unusable to notch anything, especially without the Typhoons MAWS for absolute precision to get into the notch
Multipathing is still multipathing and you are totally unable to engage anything given that shooting down onto the target no longer seems to work anymore, so everyone is flying at sea level and there is nothing you can do.
Let alone the lack of Sea Eagles, that would at least give you something else to do.
Such a shame, would be the perfect gamemode for it, but alas, its DOA there too
I struggled to just play around with the FA.2 in an Ask3clad test drive. The poor thing is in Dire Straits (sorry I had to) but at least in ARB the sqd Shar 1 is doing ok as I mostly get 11.0 or 11.3 games and rather often have downtiers to 10.3. Still, the lack of Sea Eagle and universal Harrier 1 problems (FM, engine, et cetera) are a serious drawback.
If I wasn’t somewhat enjoying some of the grinding towards the Bucc S2, I wouldn’t even touch the game again in a long while.
