BAe Sea Harrier - Technical data and discussion

Yeah, but you said you want one with PD and Fox 1? that don’t exist sadly.

I mean it did but it didn’t

Pretty sure they never had Fox 1 on a Shar

Didn’t even have a CW illuminator, so it couldn’t use Fox 1s but technically could use Fox 3s as they can just be Maddogged

Just use the FA.2 or FRS.51 better in every way lol.

Currently the TWS GMTI mode seems to be able to pick up ships pretty easily

Any chance the HUD will be finished this update? Or maybe the FM can be fixed?

I hope so, they messed up the FRS.1 digital Mach display, that will need fixing too.

Than Rockets, CCRP, a symbology out of FOV display, and a reduced compass size are all still needed.

When it comes to the FM basically everything must be redone.

Not to mention how MFD maps are still so scuffed

Yeah one side is all weird. The FRS.1 Radar screen is missing all its flight symbology too.

Sea Harrier radar is underperforming then

We don’t know…

Well we do know. Max range in game is 74 km I think. 100 miles is a very long distance. Could even be in nautical miles as well.

That’s for ship sized targets, the Blue Fox has no air to ground mode at the moment.

I have not tested at what range it can pick up a Sea Harrier frontally however…

Still would use the same air thingymabob

Maybe not 100% sure

A2A, not by much. 23km was pushing it for the blue fox irl. Might be missing some search patterns.

I guess detecting a frigate is a lot easier than a plane

Edit: Correction. 23 (I knew it was 23 something :D ) miles for a headon fighter sized target so 37km. 60 miles (96km) for an airliner

Has this been tested in game?

I dont know. But radar ranges in game aren’t really modeled. There is no drop off
