Us brits are used to gimped traverse speeds

I was fully expecting this thing to be 10.0 considering its a modern stabilised 30mm going to the British tree and that its lower counterpart (Fox) is substantially worse in every single way and unstabilised, for 1BR difference.
the gun is about right in ROF now. a slightly faster firing stabilised RARDEN will still do well in British main hands all things given

Not necessarily.
Badger = Fat Man
Fox = Little Boy
im familliar with the Fox and Scimitar, the Scimitar in its current stats should be 6.7, fox 7.7 but that’s not the threads concern.
A better gun handling mix of them even the size of a ratel will do decently provided it hasn’t got as horrific modelling as Scimitar with those armour holes and being too front heavy
I will agree with this, the issue with the badger is its huge and iirc has worse armour because we autistically bug reported the fox so its a little beast. the big thing the badger has is its stabalizer

as far as wheeled AFV in the British tree goes it is its lower counterpart, its gun performance should be close too
I would have rather had any of the three boxers with a 30mm would have been a better end result and actually different

I fully intend to:
A) Autistically bug report until the Badger’s armor is buffed
B) Autistically bug report until we get a boiling device in Brit tanks

how do you intend to buff the thing, the rof is honeslty probs better then it is irl, which lists an actual sustained rof of around 60 rounds
its actual gun ROF is 110rpm, will be limited by belt capacity in sustained

“The Section variant and the Fire Support variant make use of the LCT-30 turret which can make a full 360-degree rotation in 13 seconds.”
Found this on a Tank encyclopedia page will go through the sources and see if they can be used to bug report it.
No mention of AHEAD ammo being used on Denels website

Hence my point, its rof is ironically the max rof for the rarden in belt fed trials or some guy with lightning hands loading hte belts. I am full aware the weird box feed system is the cause of rof bottle necking, as if your firing your not loading
So 27 degrees a second in ideal conditions? that’s what it has in game currently, well actually its better at 28 degrees a second

I’m so confused on the RoF for this thing. I’ve seen 110/115rpm for three-round burst, 60rpm for three-round burst, 180-200rpm in full auto/single via this link:
Right to break it down.
The gun has a potential rof of 115 rpm without the box mag feed system configured to the 3 round burst with belt feeding
with the limitation of the 40 round box mag you have a realistic rof of 60 rpm due to having to individually load each round, and you cant rush it or risk jamming.
the 180-200 rpm relates to the original naval gun its derived from that had a full belt feed system

probably ought to refersh the 1st stage ammo a little faster but it will probably be fine on the live server
I think its about right, as said with the loading it gives you a realistic rof of 60 rpm, you have to load each round individually and they have to roll into place you cant just plop them in if you see videos of people loading it to prevent jamming.
Yeah…this thing is going to be a cool addition but in-game rough
I can’t wait for the tank destroyer version, it will probably be at a higher BR/more effective than this one sadly

Proxy fuzed, maybe. Are there 30mm proxy fuzed rounds aviable for the badger?
Also its gun seems to lack the programming coil so simply no AHEAD.

Yeah like i have took a dump on it, but i do honestly think its a cool addition, its just not going to fill the niche gaijin was aiming for it, as it’s effectively a massive fox with a stab and less armour. I think looking at it they presumed it would be like a wheelie puma, but unfortunately the SA have designed a modern day rarden, so it will be competent, but no where near what is fit for top tier, but because its British i would not be surprised to see its br go up XD
