Ah… Heli MITL is back in the work. This will end badly.
Depending on how bad Martlet missiles are , i would rather see it at a lower BR without spikes.

Also saclos aa wont help you against barely competent heli pilot. Unless of course its that one saclos aa with tws, up to 96 interceptors and up to 12 “f you physics” mach 5 obliterators
There were tons of videos in the MITL blog thread, launch at any point even the air, sit behind cover (the hill in this case), quickly use MITL and lock the tank. launch next missile and repeat.
It IS as broken as we make it out to be
Now that would be cool
im convinced theres a general mach 5 limit or else those things would break the speed of light.
The moment they switch from laws of physics to laws of Russian Federation
I find ITO-90 and ADATS quite effective
laws of the stories Ivankov told at the campfire in the zone
Its more effective than slamraam and elde 98 but still far behind s1 let alone sm sv.
You dont controll it the whole 50km.
At one point you switch to the ir targeting
Its safe shoots either way
MITL ATGMs are a grave mistake. Don’t kill your own game with it. What prevents helis (and to a lesser degree jets) from launching right from the helipad or from behind hill without exposing themselves?
Whose Idea is this?
I mean at the very least technically SACLOS still exists, but its not like aware LDIRCM heli pilot will just sit there and eat missile.
It’s produced by an italian company - is there any way this goes into the italian tree as well?
Which wont be issue if you javelin them upwards and MITL them to come down at an angle
See thats the issue. In theory, to just rearm at cap would be perfectly valid counterargument, but how many maps allow for that if youre not already pushing the enemy into their spawn?
But with no counterplay beside spawning a jet with missile immune to both multipath and LDIRCM.
I feel like mitl missiles will put emphasis on crew skills disbalance once again.
While aced heli can pretty much send missiles indefinitely because of nearly non existant reload time, f2p loser will be stuck with 30s reload every single time.
Will the Martlet missile consider adding multiple guidance heads to the game??
Only laser mentioned
No, it’s already been answered. Because it’s a British helicopter upgrade and it’s built in UK, including for export.
It’s an Italian-British design but it’s never saw service with the Italians so no
But in reality, there are multi-mode guidance headshttps://forum.warthunder.com/t/lightweight-multirole-missile-for-stormer-hvm-slower-but-surer/74185/16
